Meet Ashley Taylor | Credit Specialist & Realtor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Kyss Me Lifestyle Consulting is all about creating financial freedom for my community and peers. My generation and community thrived off their ability to work but never understood to make the money work for them. When I moved to Atlanta I learned so much about myself and mentality that I knew I needed a change. I was given the opportunity to learn how to restore credit from a mentor and worked along side him to help build his business. As I learned and restored my own credit I created a goal to create wealth for myself and family. Once I was able to obtain my goal of $50,000 of available credit, it was on to my next goal of $100,000. I ventured off and began to help others around me learn how to restore their credit and build generational wealth. After the pandemic and the death of my stepfather I took it one step further, I received my real estate license to be able to further my dream of helping my community become homeowners. My new business, KMLC Realty will help first time homebuyers get their dream home and build a legacy for their family. I believe my purpose in life is to be of service to others and teach my peers to become their own boss.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have found myself in a lot of great rooms to help me elevate myself but I always felt I needed more space to get myself to a greater level. I began my business in entertainment assisting personalities with day to day work and marketing. When I learned how to restore credit I fell in love with helping people to financially obtain their goals of new cars, better credit, becoming homeowners and building businesses. I began on focusing on credit consulting and during the pandemic it took off fast! I was consulting many clients daily on how to elevate their finances and didn’t have any help. I was too over protective of my clients so I did it alone so it was far from easy. I am always available for my clients because I want to see them win. Tragically, my house burned down and it slowed me down because I had to move into a hotel for a year and find a new place to live. At that point I began to learn who was by my side and who was there for the ride. I struggled mentally but I tried to maintain my clients. I learned that my mental had to be in the right place to be able to help others so I took some time to myself to regain my tenacity and make sure that I could get through my circumstances. I rather help other than myself but that becomes a problem when you are mentally tired. I began to become a student again and learn consumer law and real estate to further my business goals. This rough patch birthed my new business KMLC Realty, which will help first time homebuyers restore their credit to purchase a home. I strive to help other create generational wealth and a strong foundation for their families.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When I have people in town, we are going to have a time! Our itinerary always start out with kickback at the house with a few friends, we play games, eat and drink to get the weekend started. The next day we head to brunch at VVS or BQE and we go downtown for the normal tourist spots like MLK Center, CNN, Centennial Park and Mercedes Benz Stadium. Our night normal will be a bar hop through the city in areas like Edgewood, Peter Street and end the night on the Southside off Old National.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My adopted Atlanta big brother and business mentor have been such an inspiration to me to really see my own potential. G Clayton, owner of The Mattress People, saw potential in me to help him build his business to create his systems and organization. Tami LaTrell, owner of The Mezzo Agency & Grammy nominated writer, was my mentor when I was working in the entertainment industry and sought me out to help her build her music administration company. These two saw my potential in helping others build systems and organize businesses to be successful in small business. They often showed me how to go for the goal of not depending on the corporate world and how to make money on my own. I’m forever grateful for them and they will always be my go to business partners.
