We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am from Atlanta Georgia born and raised my upbringing alway toughened me and made me want better for me and my family even though I grew up with both parents in my house hold they alway told me that I could be and do what ever I put my mind to even if things are going good still try to be better and to challenge myself and to never compare and believe in timing never rush success.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Yes so first I have two business that I run a hair company by the name of amor prissy collection and my all organic skin care line called body by prissy, what sets me apart from others is that I really strive for customer satisfaction I make sure I meet all my customers needs I go above and beyond and most of the time I am hands on with my customers I give them my personal number so I can make sure I am delivering everything they want or need to their standards and they love me for that I do what most people wouldn’t I treat my customers like family

I am most proud of myself and how I started ,where I’m at and where I will be going, I got to where I am today because I never gave up I never listened to people when they said I wouldn’t make it in the beauty industry in Atlanta because every one is doing the same things I kept my faith and kept pushing forward not matter what was in my way

And no it was not easy at all I was working a full time job also taking care of my first son then I got pregnant with my second son so I am being a full time mom while trying to be a full time business owner with just me no assistant or anything it got really hard at one point then I went ba I to school to get my high school diploma as well but I pushed through my kids gave me all the motivation I needed

And the lesson that I learned is that success does not come over night and it is not given to you on a plate you have to work your butt off and keep the same energy keep the same mindset you had from the start.

I want the world to know that you can be a high school drop out and be successful it’s never to late to go back to school never let people tell you that’s you can’t do something and to never give up no matter what keep the faith and the rest will fall into place. And I also want the world to know that amor prissy collection and body by prissy strives to make and provide all items with love and that it’s deeper than providing products we want our customers to feel like family as well.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First I would take her to the battery by Cumberland mall. The battery is full of different restaurants and bars so we would most definitely eat at the yard house then go right on over to Fat Tuesday to get turnt up. Also I would take her to this little restaurant called Rosie’s cafe by the Mercedes’ Benz stadium they have the best southern food in Atlanta in my opinion then I would end it at the fun spot that’s my favorite place to go when I want to channel my inner kid if you haven’t been to the fun spot you don’t know what you are missing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes I would like to shout out my mother Sheila without her I wouldn’t be as strong of a woman and mother I am today she has showed me how to over come obstacles when you Believe it is no way out. And I also would like to shout out my Fiancé Fargo since I have decided to start all my new business ventures he has be right beside me every step of the way helping me promote my items helping me ship orders giving me encouragement when I feel down in out he is a really big support system in my life
