We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Peck and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
I honestly believe people don’t understand and/or know the hard-work or business/politics that goes on behind the scenes; the late nights and early mornings, the endless amount of creativity, the paperwork, and the overall work/life balance. It’s much more to the industry than what’s presented at the surface and a lot to learn. That’s a long topic of discussion for another conversation lol.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think we like to be quite modest when answering this type of question, but we’re very transparent. We’ve honestly worked with so many big artists, it’s amazing and mind-blowing at the same time. What sets us apart from others is our unique sound and honestly who we are overall; we are married with children, and very family oriented while running a multi-million-dollar business together; our product is us and we’d like to think we represent that quite well. We’re honestly most proud of the growth that has occurred over the years which seems like a very short period of time now. Professionally, we got where we are today through dedication, hard-work, and sacrifices. It definitely was far from easy and will probably never be easy again; the higher up the ladder, the harder the fall. In this industry in particular, always anticipating the next hit! We’ve managed to overcome the challenges by leaning harder on each other and God during our roughest times and always remembering the trials are temporary. The most important lesson we’ve learned is to never get too high or too low and always be a student in your craft; hard-work does pay off, but it does take time and sacrifice. We just want the world to know us, authentically.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d honestly be traveling and bringing our family/friends with us. We’re past overdue for a trip to Cali and we can’t wait to get out of the country to Dubai and other countries. Considering Covid, we’d bring our guests here to our home in Atlanta and keep it fairly simple, but will surely take them to Iron Age Korean BBQ for dinner/drinks. In our view, the most fun and interesting places to go and people to meet are in the studio and unfortunately Covid doesn’t allow extra guests in our sessions at the moment. However, right now, we do enjoy the private sessions while we still can.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There is actually a number of individuals that we would like to acknowledge. First and foremost, God. Secondly, our family/friends, and supporters that have helped pave the way for where we are today; especially those that are no longer with us. I don’t think we give each other enough credit, so one another. The numerous mentors we’ve been blessed to work under and our current manager for being in our corner with endless opportunity. I could go on for days simply naming everyone, but I believe everyone knows who they are.
