We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Millon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I’m inspired by strength and perseverance in finding your purpose. My grandmother was one of my inspirations when it came to persevering with finding my purpose in my career. She would always say, “You have that gift my angel now pray and ask God to lead you to it, work hard for what you want!” My grandmother worked as a maid cleaning up after whites and during segregation in the 1940s just so she can put herself through nursing school. She knew that she had a purpose for helping people and being a nurse. Through her perseverance, she never gave up with finding her purpose and became a Registered Nurse for 38 years until her retirement. That’s what has inspired me to continue to persevere to find my purpose in my career and what God has called me to do. I have found purpose in never giving up on my dreams to work as hard and never let anything come in my way of reaching that goal. When you have purpose, its an indescribable feeling that you just have to show! Finding your purpose has inspired me to one day leave a lasting legacy and inspire others to do the same in life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What keeps me busy professionally, is creating a new business venture that I’m currently working on that will center around media and communications for creatives. I’m in the early stages of it but I know that anything I put my heart and passion into its going to be great! Also, I’ve been doing a lot of consulting within working in radio and helping artists reach their full potential professionally. There is always a strategy within this industry and connecting the dots that will lead them to the right people professionally. I will also be co-hosting a show called “The Spill” on Instagram live where we talk about all things in pop culture and entertainment news. So I’m really excited about that! Lastly, working on myself mentally and physically to be my best self professionally. Everything has been keeping me busy during this pandemic and its only up from here.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love history and museums about Atlanta! So I would definitely take them to the Atlanta History Museum, Martin Luther King Jr. Museum, Apex Museum or the High Museum of Art. Those are some of my favorite places to go. For restaurants, I definitely would take them anywhere on the Beltline!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate this to my grandmother Betty T. Dillard who passed away 2 years ago but left a lasting legacy of love, strength, and wisdom that I will forever cherish!
