We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Edwards and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
When responding to the question about how to know whether to keep going or give up it’s essential to convey a thoughtful and reflective approach.

It’s a very profound question and one I’ve often reflected on in various aspects of my life. I believe the decision to keep going or give up is highly nuanced and depends on a combination of factors.

Firstly, I consider my passion and commitment to the goal. If I’m genuinely passionate about what I’m pursuing and if it aligns with my values and long-term objectives, I tend to lean towards persistence. Passion becomes the driving force that helps me weather challenges and setbacks.

Another critical factor is the ability to learn from experiences. I see setbacks not as roadblocks but as opportunities for growth. If I can analyze what went wrong, adjust my approach, and use failure as a stepping stone, it often encourages me to keep pushing forward.

I also keep an eye on the bigger picture and how my pursuits align with my overall life goals. Regular self-reflection helps me ensure that I’m on a path that aligns with my values and purpose.

At the same time, I recognize the importance of adaptability. If a pursuit is continually met with insurmountable obstacles and there’s a lack of progress, I believe it’s crucial to reassess and be open to pivoting. Flexibility allows me to adjust my strategies without compromising the ultimate goal.

Ultimately, I trust my intuition. If deep down, I feel that continuing on a particular path is no longer serving my personal or professional well-being, then I consider the possibility of redirecting my efforts.

It’s honestly a delicate balance, and the decision isn’t always clear-cut. But through a combination of passion, learning, adaptability, alignment with long-term goals, and intuition, I strive to make informed decisions about whether to persevere or explore new opportunities.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It’s truly an honor to share my journey as a stay-at-home mom, homeschooler, podcaster, writer, and fitness coach. What sets me apart is not just the titles I hold, but the fusion of these roles that defines my unique approach to life and work.

The path to where I am today has been a journey of self-discovery and learning. Balancing family, work, and self-care wasn’t easy initially. I faced challenges in finding that healthy equilibrium. Meditation became my anchor, helping me stay present and navigate each day with intention. It has been a transformative practice that grounds me in the midst of a busy life.

Overcoming challenges involved a commitment to self-care and regular exercise. These practices not only contribute to my physical well-being but also serve as essential components of my mental and emotional resilience. When life feels overwhelming, these tools help me find my center.

One of the crucial lessons I’ve learned is the power of taking things day by day. In the world of a stay-at-home mom juggling multiple roles, recognizing that each day is a new opportunity has been a game-changer. It’s about progress, not perfection.

My source of mental strength lies in the uplifting messages of gospel sermons and music. They serve as a constant reminder of purpose, resilience, and the strength that comes from a deeper faith. My spiritual foundation has been a guiding force in maintaining my mental well-being.

As a podcaster and writer, I aim to share not just the successes but the real, raw moments of life. I want my audience to know that it’s okay to have challenging days and that the journey to a balanced life is a continuous process.

In essence, my brand and story are about authenticity, resilience, and the pursuit of a balanced and fulfilling life. I hope to inspire others to embrace their unique journeys, finding strength in both the struggles and triumphs. Together, we navigate the beautiful complexity of life, one day at a time.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
These days I’m a fancy homebody!

The beauty of Atlanta is that it’s so big and very diverse. It’s a beautiful place and there is always something to do. There are tons of places to eat, drink, and hang out, if that’s your style. You can find anything to do no matter what your taste or vibe is.

I honestly wouldn’t have any specific places to show a friend or family member because my personal preferences or itinerary would offer a mix of relaxation at a spa, and cultural exploration at a nice restaurant with live music, followed by adventurous outdoor activities. Living in Atlanta showcases the diverse and vibrant aspects we all love & I love my city.
