We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Arnett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Doubters and the need to prove people wrong. I grew up in a family where college was the only option. Being an entrepreneur wasn’t the norm, going to school and getting an education was. I knew I wanted more. The time, money, freedom and excitement I wanted from life couldn’t come from a job. My success is driven from knowing I wanted more than a regular life. I wanted to show family and friends that there’s no exact blueprint to life, you do what makes you happy. Dropping out of school to become a full time entrepreneurn was the best thing I’ve ever done.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own a marketing Agnecy. I provide small businesses with products and services to help them scale into their dream brand. I secured over 3 million dollars in sales for clients in 2021 and I’m hoping to double that number this year.

Getting here wasn’t easy. I had to own several brands and waste thousands of dollars before I became great at marketing. Also being young, a lot of brands didn’t deem me as trustworthy when it came to business growth – so it was really hard for me to build and get clientele.

I want people to know age + demographics don’t matter when it comes to success. I am a 23 year old African American college dropout that made it happen – you can do it too.

I created my brand to help other small businesses that are passionate about business but can’t afford to pay an arm and a leg for help

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d start with brunch at toast on Lenox..

If we wanna be Boujee and dress up .. Drinks and dinner at steak market Atlanta or for a more chill vibe .. Tacos and margaritas at Real Tacos.

Catching a movie at IPIC is a must, and Puttshack for mini golf is a great activity.

The yard milkshake bar is great for dessert.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents. At first the idea of entrepreneurship wasn’t traditional for them, but as time progressed they have been so supportive and loving towards my journey. I love them both so much and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
