Meet Ashley Alexander: Founder of Skinopsis

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Alexander and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to start my own skincare business because my skin needed it, and I knew there were plenty of other people who needed it too. People who suffered from acne and skin ailments for years just like me, and were looking for a natural and restorative product to cure their skin and keep their skin looking and feeling healthy too. So from all the years of research and studying what makes skin do what it does and how can you combat it naturally came Skinopsis. A natural skincare line derived from an intentional blend of essential oils. Our carefully curated blends are powered by research and dermatology so we can get to the root of the problem, not just cover it up! 

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Skinopsis is an all-natural skincare line. We use simple, yet strong, ingredients in our blends that when married together create the perfect remedy for a number of common skin ailments. Our blends are tender, yet tough so they’re kind to your skin but tough on the problem. Each one of our products is handmade and everything is done in house. We are the epitome of a small business so each bottle is poured with love. We make sure everything is just right for our customers and we show them our appreciation with every order. There is much more to come from us in the near future! We are currently undergoing a rebrand, and will relaunch with a new name and new products by the end of 2021. If 2020 taught us one thing, it is that we must evolve and business is meant to evolve too. We’re happy to have come out of 2020 with the chance to evolve while continuing to meet our customer’s needs. Try our signature collection while you still have the chance! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are definitely some folks that deserve a shoutout! To my amazing colleagues, they supported me more than you can imagine. They held me accountable, they played a role in my customer discovery, kept me creative and inspired, and they helped me HANDS ON for my launch party. Without them, I really don’t know if I would have launched when I did. To my closest friend, and constant, tough love motivator (he knows who he is) thank you for making me be about it and not just talk about it. No matter how tough it may have felt. You push me to be better everyday, and for that, I’m eternally grateful. To my parents, without them I honestly wouldn’t have been able to even dream of starting a company when I did because they were my foundation. They allowed me to have the opportunities I have today, and I move through life with that in mind daily. To my friends who supported my vision and company, through and through. THANK YOU. I have so much love for the ones closest to me in my life. They all deserve a shoutout!
