We had the good fortune of connecting with Asheena (Shelly) Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Asheena (Shelly), do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Honestly, there is no giving up for me. I’ve always believed anything worth having, is worth the fight. I may slow down a little, but giving up is not an option for me. If something is not working for me, I re-evaluate and make necessary changes. Then, I move forward.

What should our readers know about your business?
Virgo Venus (VV), formerly known as ATB, is the embodiment of affordable luxury. I founded my business out of necessity, as I often found myself unable to afford top-tier home fragrance and skincare products. So, I took matters into my own hands and started creating them myself. Initially, a few friends were my loyal customers, but word travels fast when you offer something exceptional.

In 2019, I turned my passion into a full-fledged business. What sets Virgo Venus apart is our commitment to quality, the naturalness of our ingredients, and the multipurpose nature of our products. Every product is crafted with love and precision, and your feedback is the fuel that keeps me going. Knowing that I’ve contributed to your happiness in some way is what brings me the greatest joy.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Lucky for me, my best friend, Jas, loves nature and arcades just as much as I do. If she were visiting the Atlanta/metro Atlanta area with me, our first stop would definitely be Andretti on day one. We’d also hit up The Juicy Crab for some delicious seafood. Day two would be all about the Atlanta Botanical Garden, soaking in the beautiful scenery. Day three? We’d keep it cute and calm with brunch at Love at First Bite ATL Brunch. The rest of the week, we’d just wing it, being our usual spontaneous selves. And let me tell you, being Jamaican, we wouldn’t miss a Caribbean fest before we leave!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Big shoutout to my amazing kids, including my bonus babies! Their excitement and eagerness to create with me or try my latest products warm my heart and keep me going, especially on those days when I feel like tapping out.
