We had the good fortune of connecting with Asheena Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Asheena, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Everyone loves candles, wax melts, air freshener, etc. I thought, ‘the store bought ones, don’t last long enough for me, so I know they’re not lasting for anyone else.’ I had to make something worth the money. Then I thought, ‘I’d rather work for myself, anyway.’ Lol.

What should our readers know about your business?
All Things Beeswax & More is a one stop shop for all of your home & car fragrance needs. I also provide bath and body items. I differ from other companies because of the care we put into our products. Every item is thought through, 100%, then tested. This is to make sure that my customers always get the best quality. I also use natural waxes (safer to burn & inhale than most store bought candles). That is what got this company where it is now. You guys love quality, just as much as I do; let me give that to you. It has not always been easy, but it has gotten easier. I just had to figure out how to be bigger than problems. I think that’s my biggest accomplishment, to be honest. Running a business is packed with difficulties. Learning how to work through those difficulties is what brings you to success. I want the world to know that All Things Beeswax & More cares. This brand cares about you AND about the quality of what you’re paying for.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Personally, I prefer to only schedule our meal times (if we’re scheduling anything at all). Why? Because there’s too much to see and do, to limit our day with a schedule. We might start one activity, and end up doing something completely different from what we planned. While planning is essential in some areas in life, when it comes to a fun day out, I think going with the flow would be the best option. My best friends are like me, so I know they’d agree. Lol. When it comes to dining, there’s no way to plan that. Whatever sounds good at the time, that’s where we will dine.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My children. Thank you for keeping mommy motivated. Your excitement keeps me wanting to go further, and do more to get better. Thank you. Mommy loves you all.
