We had the good fortune of connecting with Ash Santana and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ash, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Well, I’ve been running my own business for some time now so, when I moved from Buffalo, NY to Georgia last summer, my plan was to continue my career in the beauty industry. I was (& still am) a Master Braider, however, me being new to the area, of course, my clientele was non existent. I ran specials & deals & was able to attract a couple clients, (literally 3-4), but it wasn’t enough. I was a new Georgia resident, with a daughter & no family here besides my mom, who just so happened to lose her job right before moving down here. So I got on Instagram & seen that a lounge near me was hiring for bottle girls. I inquired, interviewed & was hired on the spot. It only took me about 2 weeks to think to myself “there’s alot of money in this field, how can I take this opportunity & run with it?”. I ran it by my mom & BOOM, Bottoms Up Mobile Lounge Experience was born.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Bottoms Up Mobile Lounge Experience is Middle Georgia’s first & only team to provide Bottle Service in mobile form. YES we come to you! When it comes to special events, people have the option to book a DJ, a photographer, bartenders, even sometimes dancers, & now people have the option to make their event even more aesthetically pleasing by booking bottle service as well. Bottoms Up caters to private events such as birthday parties, graduation celebrations, baby showers/gender reveals, divorce parties, engagement parties, funeral repasses, anniversary celebrations, extras for photo/video shoots, bachelor/ bachelorette parties, grand openings, & more. We also show alot of love to our LGBTQ+ community by servicing their events as well. Not to mention, we service children & teen events as well, of course replacing the bottle runs with Juice runs or a cake walk-thru. We bring the vibes to literally any event u can think of!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There’ s so much to do in ATL we would probably spend a day just trying to weigh out our options! My friends like to eat, party & shop so we’d definitely have brunch at Cafe’ Social House, (literally my favorite brunch spot in the A). It’s mandatory to swing by Lennox for a shopping trip. When it comes to drinks & dinner ideas I’d throw Cirque or Fade & Facet in there. The food is bomb, drinks are super cute & the hookah is always on point. VVS, Octopus Kitchen & Pappadeaux are on the list too. A spa day would absolutely have to be on the itinerary, along with some type of meaningful historic-based outing, such as Madame CJ Walker’s museum. I work in Macon, & I would be dead wrong not to bring my friends out there for a day so that we can go to VIBEZ. Black-owned, with an array of Black-owned liquors & spirits, VIBEZ offers an extensive hookah, drink, & brunch menu, as well as small plates, salads & sandwiches. They have the BEST WINGS in middle Georgia! & I’m not just saying that because I work there….I’m from Buffalo… so I know good wings! I wouldn’t lie. Plus it’s a spot where you can catch a real vibe. You may want to turn up, you may just want to smoke hookah & relax, may want to line-dance, may want to just have a quick solo lunch date…they got you covered!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First & foremost I MUST give thanks to the most high. Prayer & a plan is what will help us all execute our goals & dreams. I also have to acknowledge my mom! I have a praying, God-fearing mother who supports any & everything that I dream of, do, & intend on doing. The lady holds me down when it comes to my daughter, & keeps me focused on what exactly it is that I came to Georgia for & for that I’m forever indebted & grateful. I also wanna thank the people who doubted me!! Those are the ones who give me that push DAILY to never let anyone see me sweat & to prove the haters wrong!
