We had the good fortune of connecting with Aryn Carter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aryn, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking: how do you think about risk, what role has taking risks played in your life/career. Fredrick Douglass once said, “without struggle there is no progress.” Well, as a 8 year old, I feel the same way about risks. You must be willing to take a risk if you want to grow and be successful. My mom always tell me that every successful business person must be willing to bet on themselves if they want to win. I risked my entire Christmas when I asked my mom to invest in my business as a Christmas gift. I really didn’t know if it was worth not getting anything for Christmas or was it worth foregoing Christmas gifts to start my business. Well, I must tell you that starting my business has brought me so much joy. I begin selling lipgloss because I knew that I had a bigger vision and that was to have my own frozen lemonade business. I used the funds from my lipgloss business to fund both of my lemonade machines. My desire is to become a 9yr old millionaire but I know that I can’t do that without taking more risks!!

What should our readers know about your business?
Well, my frozen Lemonade comes with a special treat inside. I guess that’s what makes me business unique or different. Not to mention that it’s delicious and full of flavorful!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spot in the city is Nakatos. It has a nice selection of foods and ok drinks. I mean, if they added my frozen Lemony Treats then their drink selection would be on point. However, their food is so delicious.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank my parents, aunts, uncles, and especially my Papa for always supporting me and helping me reach my goals.
