We had the good fortune of connecting with Ariel Talley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ariel, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
There is a few habits that i think have contributed to my successes in life. Every time I get an idea of starting something, whether it’s big or small I make it a habit to pray on it. I seek clarity and guidance from God; if this is something I should pursue. I also meditate on the idea, just sit in silence and just think of a plan or course of action. Then I begin to speak it into existence. If you say speak of something enough times naturally your belief in it will grow. Lastly I just try to keep a positive, optimistic mindset, I know that once I put my mind to something…I can achieve it. My mother always told me the worst thing a person can tell you is “no”…well I don’t find that absolutely terrifying so why not just go for it!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am most proud of having a passion, then setting a goal and actually obtaining it. Getting to where I am at now was not easy, but nothing worth having does anyways right? So from starting college in Maryland majoring in fashion, to moving to Georgia and having to take a year off before going back to school and majoring in film and video was the big first hurdle. Landing a career in my field has led me to be financially blessed to be able to support my dream of owning my own clothing brand. I have always been passionate about style and fashion and I feel like women should be able to wear complimenting , tasteful pieces that make them feel confident. I take so much pride in carefully curating what I add to my boutique with every type of women in mind. Whether you’re skinny, have a little extra, tall or short…I have you in mind. I think that’s what really sets my brand apart from others.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The Blind Pig or La Bella Pig, it’s a cute moody pop up bar in buckhead and they change the theme every season! It’s more of an intimate space so reservations are highly suggested. However from the food to the drinks and ambience; it is such a vibe!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family has always been a big support in my life. My parents, grandparents and siblings. Anytime I have an idea whether it be realistic or far fetched. Now sometimes they would be hesitant like “oh my gosh, here we go again” lol. For instance, I wanted to go to school for fashion and my mother didn’t think that was the best idea. She wanted me to go to college for business instead. However by the time she finally started coming around to accepting that idea, I had transferred and switched my major to film and video at a different school. Her and my sister thought that was just wild. It didn’t really sink in for them until i started landing film production jobs out of college and finally ending up with my dream company.

My dad has always been a big support too, no matter what it is. I will always remember and never forget, from my college days up until now he will randomly send me words of encouragement or ask questions about whatever i have going on. Whether it is a new show I am working on or how my clothing brand is going, he has always has a genuine interest and showed his support in whatever i have going on.
