We had the good fortune of connecting with Anya Fleming and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anya, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was born and raised in Tupelo, MS. 6 years ago, I moved to Nashville, TN, which opened the door to exploring a range of passions. The move infused a sense of novelty into my life, expanding my horizons and providing the opportunity to embark on new ventures, delve into entrepreneurship, and express my creativity to the fullest. In 2020, I launched my candle business, inspired by milkshakes and desserts, which has enjoyed considerable success. With my business endeavors, I found myself traveling extensively for pop-up shops and seminars to expand my reach. This sparked my enthusiasm for business travel, leading me to pursue opportunities where I can earn while working remotely and also assist others along the way.

What should our readers know about your business?
At Southern Travels, I strive to excel as a top-notch travel agent, ensuring my clients’ travel needs are seamlessly addressed. My primary motto, “Flights, Camera, Action,” emphasizes the importance of taking flights, capturing memorable moments with a camera, and relishing quality time with loved ones. As your go-to agent for departures world wide, I’m dedicated to orchestrating unforgettable experiences for you and your family. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When my closest friends visit town, our first stop would be brunch at The Hive ATL. Afterward, we’d head to Your3rdSpot for some leisure time, followed by enjoying fantastic cocktails at Twin Tacos ATL. Bar Vegan is a favorite dining spot of mine, so we’d definitely make a reservation there. Finally, we’d dine at STK and then unwind at a nearby night bar.
