We had the good fortune of connecting with Anwar Dougsiyeh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anwar, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
A few habits that helped me succeed are 1. Getting up early
2. Knowing when to quit
3. Having a positive attitude
4. Surrounding yourself with positive people

What should our readers know about your business?
Lotus Rosery is an art collective and music discovery platform based in Atlanta, Georgia. We provide an essential role as curators for Atlanta’s creative community and dream of evolving into a major music festival. Currently, we curate independent concert events allowing regional artists to express themselves and showcase their talents live. Our audience consists of Atlanta’s most creative young minds, giving guests the opportunity to network and share their talents with potential collaborators and partners. I’m most proud of the team. We have stuck through so much and will continue to reach new heights. We got to this place from working hard and having faith in each other’s abilities. It was never easy but we overcame a lot from from family. I want the world to know we’re fostering some of the greatest creatives on this planet and we will uplift everyone into amazing positions.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots in the city would have to be parks. You can find me at any park from Piedmont to cascade nature preserve.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to shout out my partners Oni Culbreath & Tiryk Borrego! These are two of the hardest working people I know. Oni is an amazing artists with designs that are truly out of this world. I truly don’t know what I would do without such a solid individual by my side. Tiryk is an actual Tech wiz. He can solve any design problem you throw his way and do it with a smile. He’s truly one of a kind. These two are the future of creatives in Atlanta..just watch them!
