We had the good fortune of connecting with Antoinette Polnitz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Antoinette, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I started LenaLoveNaturals I was going through a skin medical condition called “Hidradenitis suppurativa” and postpartum hair loss after having my youngest son. It literally had a self esteem disturbance on my life at the time. I tried everything over the counter and spent thousands of products that claimed to be natural to help my skin and hair. Nothing worked. That’s when I decided to create my own using fruits, vegetables and Ayurvedic herbs. It all started with me handcrafting a hair conditioner using avocado, Fenugreek, honey and bananas. And my hair flourished and stop shedding so much. I was like “GIRL” you are on to something lol. I also using Aloe Vera and Tea Tree Oil on my skin to help with my flare-up. Started researching and experimenting on myself, friends and family then LenaLoveNaturals was born.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have worked in the healthcare field for over 15 years and is still currently employed in the field. I have a background in Cardiology and Primary Care-Functional Medicine. I took all that I learned while working in a practice that treats patients not only in western medicine but looks at health at a more holistic approach. I believe health and life has to be balanced and what you put on the inside and outside really does affect your overall health in all aspects. I am most excited about the future of LenaLoveNaturals we have helped thousands of customers gain confidence after dealing with multiple skin issues and hair issues. I see a bright future and look forward to helping many more. Being creative and formulating natural products to help others is my passion and a true love.

Entrepreneurship has not been always easy. You have many that try to copy, steal your ideas or even try to discourage you. I have been through it all on the way to building a successful business. But I always keep God with me and live in prayer. He will always get me through the highs and the lows.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One thing about me, I am pretty laid back and tend to have friends that are too. My best friend and I would definitely go Breakfast at Barney’s in Atlanta, GA. Their food is amazing and the restaurant has great vibes. We would definitely have to go to the spa and have some pampering girl time. I would choose The Spa at Chateau Elan in Braselton GA. The Spa experience there is amazing and we can have a little treat by doing some wine tasting and dinner after. We would also visit Tribble Mill Park in Lawrenceville, GA , where we can get some exercise, enjoy nature, get some sun and amazing scenic views. Of course shopping would be on the to do list at the Mall of Georgia in Buford, GA and North Premium Outlets in Dawsonville, GA. The Painted Duck for some bowling and fun. Dinner at Two Urban licks, the mac & cheese there is the best!! My best friend is like a sister to me, she is family. So to close out the week we would spend family time with my two boys, Movies and my boys favorite Dave & Busters.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

I want to give a Thank you to Jesus Christ, My Husband and My mother. I would not be where I am today without their love, guidance and support. My best friend Christine just for always being someone I can talk to about anything including business growth. She is also a smart and amazing business lady. She has several under her belt. Her business is called “Cooking and Canvas Creations”. Check her out. I would also like to shout out all of my customers, you guys have shown out for LenaLoveNaturals for 4 years now and I am beyond grateful. Love you all!!! The reviews, dm’s, emails and messages you guys send on the daily. Just gives me reassurance that what I do, does make a difference and changes people’s lives.Thousand of reviews and thousands of customers. Little did I know my homemade products would be beneficial and really serve a purpose for the everyones hair and skin. It is such a blessing and a humbling experience to be an entrepreneur and to be able to provide wholesome natural products. Thank you all!!
