We had the good fortune of connecting with Antjuan Kimbrough and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Antjuan, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started The Vision Shop to build a business model that could house and support all of my passion and skills to enhance the visions of small business owners and creatives. My desire was to create a company that would prepare visionaries with all the tools needed to launch a major marketing campaign. On the personal side I desire to build generational wealth. I’ve learned that the quickest way to doing so is ownership. So my thought process behind starting my vision was bigger than me. It was more about quality services for others that was affordable.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I LIVE to create. It’s literally what I do in my sleep. I believe what sets me apart like anyone else is my story. It’s one that is filled with the pain, passion, and power of the unexpected. I grew up like many not know who I was, let alone who I wanted to be. That costed me a lot, it also costed a lot of other people. I was raised by a strong black single parent mother and I was also the eldest of 5 brothers living in the house. One of my baby brothers as well as my mom is both in heaven showing out for me. Lol. R.I.P. to them both. I was also a high school dropout, and a teen parent. In my early 20’s I was a parent of 4 who was also a struggling recording artist at the time that worked too many jobs to list to provide for my kids and to support myself as an artist. I’ve lived through it all. Success, failure, pride, shame, marriage, divorce, freedom, bondage, you name it. It all has played an essential role in making me who I am today as a man, and a creative. Along the way I’ve learned that the who’s never know who you are, until you discover that you are about. It took me years, and lesson after lesson to figure that out. Today I know I am and who I am not because of knowing what I’m about. I’ve grown to become a man that’s strictly about Faith, Family, and Freedom. I want the world to know that my brand is that is a reflection of me. It’s not to be understood, neither is to be limited. Speaking of such, shameless plug alert…. 2/22/22 after I’m releasing a long awaited music project titled, Pain, Passion, and Power. The first single Song Cry is due for release on valentine day. Keep an eye out for ya boy.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had to create the itinerary first thing first, Slutty Vegan. One because I never been their neither. Lol. Next we’d have to drop by the aquarium. Def Kennesaw mountain… From there we’d use google for the rest of the recommendations. LOL.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate this shout out to GOD, and my family above and before anything. It’s because of them and their support that I am inspired and privileged to be a successful business owner. I’d also like to shout out my Church; Transparency Church. Together we shall see peace, progression, and prosperity. Also s/o this amazing magazine that is affording us this opportunity to be heard and seen as business owners.
