We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Rogers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
The reason why I decided to pursue a artistic career was because I love creating things that made you wonder. I’ve been drawing all my life and now I thought it was time to show the world what you can do with a camera and some time.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art work is all about realization plus imagination mixed in what we sometimes dream about or even just sit and think about. The excitement from doing these type of pictures comes from peoples reactions. Yes most of my pictures are real photos and folks know it, but once they really look they are taking away. Making these pictures is just like going through life , it’s looks easy to see the finish but difficult at some points to get to the finish line. Always trust the process and follow through , there isn’t an short cuts in life . I would want my work to always make you or any other viewer to think outside the box, and always try new ideas. Make Decisions based on your thoughts and know one else’s. Be a leader at what you do and many shall follow. It’s ok to be different and think differently, asking as it’s you being you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I was to entertain a friend from out of town I would likely take them around the city. In Atlanta there are plenty of things to see, taste and experience. I would go to a sporting event and let them see the Diversified cultures here in Atlanta. Take them around to eat at different spots to taste the Atlanta way of cooking. Last we would go to the mountains and drive through to show them the many different views of the state.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
For starters my whole family is very gifted. From music to photography and leadership roles in life. I watch my sisters and brother pursue there artistic abilities and became very successful with them. Yes time and effort is what you have to do to prefect it, and that’s what I plan to do with my photographs. God gave us a canvas and the minds to create , so now we should always take advantage of these skills and share our finished product to the world.
