We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, is there something you believe many others might not?
Sometimes Luck opens up opportunity doors. Which I found out to be not true at all. Hard work Perseverance and determination is the root to being successful. You get out what you put in and fortunately for me I love what I do so I get pure joy and delight on my return.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
By day I’m a union rep and heavy machine operator for Americold logistics. The biggest cold storage facility in Northa America. By night I dj locally and abroad playing music to the masses. What sets me apart from others is I never stray away from my Chicago House music roots having relocated to the South. Hard work and pure determination git me where I am today. I’ve done Celebrity parties for Reality TV stars and Coporate Parties for the movie and television industry. Although the reward was amazing the grind is never easy. You just have to stay consistent. I’m most proud of my latest accomplishment by having the first day party along with my partner Hemp GOD Life Griffin at Atlantas premier nightclub District Atl. So be on the lookout for future block buster parties from Jakks Entertainment.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had friends visiting of course I would show them the Atlanta nite life which I’m a part of but I’d take them around to see my favorite spots like The Georgia Aquarium, The Battery and various shopping plazas.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to Thank my wife Lenore for all the support over the years, the long nights and short days always being by my side. My best friend Victor Norris who gave me my second dj set up that got me started in the basement of his house.Huge shout out to my mentor Dj Emanuel Pippin of Chicago along with Gene Hunt, Terry Hunter ,Andre Hatchette,& Mike Dunn for inspiring me to push beyond the limits of House Music. The mentorship of these djs made me who I am today.
