Hi Anthony, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I decided to start my own photography business, it all began with my passion for capturing moments and telling stories through images. I spent a lot of time honing my skills, whether through self-teaching or taking courses, which eventually allowed me to build a portfolio. I took the time to assess the market, searching for opportunities and identifying a niche that resonated with me, like family portraits or weddings. From there, I created a solid business plan that outlined my goals, target audience, and marketing strategies. I also made necessary investments in equipment and worked on building my brand. Networking with others in the industry helped me connect with potential clients, and I used social media and promotions to attract them. Throughout this journey, I’ve focused on continuous improvement, staying adaptable to new trends, which I believe is essential for the success of my photography business.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Art for me is about storytelling and connection. Through my lens, I strive to capture genuine moments that evoke emotion and resonate with viewers. What sets my work apart is my commitment to authenticity—I believe every individual has a unique story to tell, and my goal is to bring that story to life through imagery.

I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built with my clients. Every session feels like a collaboration, where I can merge their vision with my artistic style. Seeing the joy on their faces when they view their photos is what fuels my passion.

My journey to this point hasn’t been without its challenges. In the beginning, I faced self-doubt and the pressure of establishing a distinct style in a saturated market. But I embraced those challenges as learning opportunities. I invested in education, sought mentorship, and practiced relentlessly. Over time, I learned to trust my instincts and let my unique perspective shine through my work.

The lessons I’ve learned are invaluable: resilience is key, embracing feedback can only enhance your craft, and staying true to yourself leads to the most fulfilling experiences.

I want the world to know that Iconic Image Photography isn’t just about taking photos; it’s about celebrating individuality and creating lasting memories. Every image is infused with passion and a personal touch, making each one a piece of art that reflects the essence of my clients. I’m excited to continue this journey, to keep evolving, and to create even more iconic moments with incredible people.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Start the day with a hearty breakfast at Attack on Breakfast, known for its creative dishes. Next, head to the Baltimore Museum of Art to admire its impressive collection and stroll through the sculpture garden. For lunch, savor a trendy meal at Dooby’s, famous for its delicious sandwiches. Afterward, explore the quirky Hampden neighborhood, taking in the unique shops and snapping a photo with the “Hon” sign. In the afternoon, visit the Maryland Science Center at the Inner Harbor for hands-on exhibits and enjoy a leisurely walk along the waterfront. For dinner, relax at The Charles Tavern, renowned for its burgers and craft beers. Depending on the season, catch an Orioles game at Camden Yards or enjoy a performance at the Hippodrome Theatre. Conclude your day with a sweet treat from The Charmery, a local ice cream shop famed for its creative flavors, and if you’re in the mood, stop by a neighborhood bar like The Brewer’s Art for a nightcap.
