We had the good fortune of connecting with Ant Boogz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ant, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always had a passion for rap. Since i could remember i used to rap. Walking home from school, playing basketball, in the shower, doing homework, to impress people, etc. but the point is i was always rapping. I met a good friend named Stackz in High School who took me to a studio for the first time & that was it. I knew i was to pursue this & make this my career. Im proud to say i’ve been at it ever since with no plans of slowing down.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think the thing that sets my music apart from others is how real & vulnerable it is. I pull no punches & mince no words. Im excited for people to actually listen & connect. I want to be an outlet for people going through any & all emotions to channel all of that into positive energy. To chase your dreams & think bigger than anyone before or after you. Many things get you where you need to go but ultimately determination, consistency, persistence & the ability to take criticism & adapt is what will take you there. Its not an easy journey. It hasn’t been easy so far & i dont think it’s going to get easier honestly. If i could say I learned anything i would say that I learned that in pursue of something major theres ups & downs & often times those downs feel like the lowest place but it’s solely a catapult that’s preparing to send you upwards. When its all said & done honestly i want the world to know that my story was real, raw, & the greatest one they ever told.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The studio is the first place we’re going. After that im not sure. Im not really a person who enjoys clubbing & things like that. I like intimate personal settings with people i value & love so I wouldn’t know where to take someone. We just gon vibe out honestly
