We had the good fortune of connecting with Aniyah Serinity and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aniyah, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’ve always been moved by creativity. I learned at an early age how creativity allows people to express themselves, grow in many aspects, and build communities. I wanted to expand on my passions and not only prove to myself but others that no talent is useless. Through pursuing a creative career, I’ve met the best version of myself. It’s challenged me, taught me the importance of taking risks, and given me an outlet.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
To put it simply, content creation has changed my life. It’s something I always wanted to do but it took a little longer to see it being a reality for me. I grew up recording vlogs on my iPad, filming room tours, and playing in makeup for “Get ready with me” videos, never really thinking it’d become anything bigger. Over the past few years, I challenged myself to be intentional about feeding my passions, leading to the creation of a brand. If you would’ve told 13 year old me she’d be able to turn her secret hobby into a real job, she wouldnt believe you. It hasnt been easy, but it’s been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve made. Since becoming a full time content creator, I’ve worked with so many amazing brands such as Samsung, NARS, Maybelline, Curology, and more.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite things to do when visting home are going to brunch, having picnics in piedmont park, and visiting the aquarium

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m thankful for my best friends who always support my creative interests. Between modeling, content creation, and everything else I’ve committed to, they’ve always been a huge source of motivation for me.
