We had the good fortune of connecting with Anisha Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anisha, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
At the core of everything I do is community and education. My businesses were built to create safe, honest, and inclusive spaces where people, especially women, can learn about their bodies, their boundaries, and their power without shame.

Through Bedroom Kandi, my events, and my work as a sexual health educator, I focus on normalizing conversations around pleasure, wellness, and emotional health. For many people, this is the first time they’ve been told that their needs matter, that consent matters, and that pleasure and self-care are not luxuries; they’re part of overall wellness.

I also intentionally create opportunities for education and visibility through community-centered events like panels, workshops, and the Bedroom Kandi Social Affair. These spaces bring together medical professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives, and everyday people to discuss openly topics that are often overlooked, especially in marginalized communities.

Beyond the business side, my work is deeply personal. As a single mother and a woman who has navigated grief, growth, and reinvention, I understand the importance of support systems. I lead with honesty, compassion, and access, whether that’s offering education, mentorship, or simply a space where someone feels seen and heard.

If my work helps even one person feel more confident, informed, or empowered in their life, then I know I’m doing what I was called to do.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My professional journey has never followed a straight line, but it has always been rooted in service, education, and impact. I have spent years working in corporate healthcare while simultaneously building businesses centered on wellness, education, and community empowerment. Balancing both worlds taught me discipline, adaptability, and the importance of leading with integrity, regardless of the environment.

What sets me apart is my ability to connect with people on a human level while still operating with structure, strategy, and professionalism. Whether I’m navigating a corporate role, leading a team, or educating clients and communities, I approach my work with empathy, accountability, and intention. I don’t believe success comes from titles alone it comes from consistency, trust, and how you show up when no one is watching.

Getting to where I am today was not easy. I’ve navigated grief, single motherhood, career transitions, and moments of self-doubt while still showing up for others. There were seasons where I had to learn how to pace myself, ask for help, and trust God more than my own understanding. Those challenges didn’t break me they refined me and taught me the value of resilience, boundaries, and faith.

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that growth requires both courage and patience. You don’t have to have everything figured out to take the next step you just have to be willing to keep going. I’ve also learned that community matters. No one builds anything meaningful alone.

What I want the world to know about me is that my work is rooted in purpose. I don’t separate who I am from what I do. I strive to create safe, informed, and empowering spaces, both professionally and personally, where people feel respected, supported, and seen. Every role I step into is an opportunity to lead with compassion, excellence, and faith.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Atlanta for the week, I’d want them to experience the city the way I love it through culture, food, community, and good energy.

We’d start with brunch at Atlanta Breakfast Club you can’t visit Atlanta without soul food done right. From there, we’d explore the Atlanta BeltLine, walking (my friends and I LOVE to walk), people-watching, and popping into local spots along the way. A stop at Ponce City Market is a must for food, shopping, and rooftop views.

Midweek would be all about culture and reflection. I’d take them to the National Center for Civil and Human Rights and the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park places that ground you and remind you of Atlanta’s deep history and impact. We’d wind down with a relaxing stroll through Piedmont Park or Atlanta Botanical Garden.

For dinner and grown vibes, I love ApacheXlr or The Busy Bee Atlanta has a way of blending comfort food with elevated experiences. One night would definitely include live music or a comedy show Atlanta’s creative energy is unmatched.

To close out the trip, I’d plan something chill and community-centered maybe a local pop-up event, a day market, or brunch with friends because Atlanta isn’t just about places, it’s about people. The warmth, creativity, and culture here are what make the city feel like home.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give my first and highest praise to God. Every step of this journey, every lesson, and every opportunity has been guided by faith.

Recently, the book Let Them by Mel Robbins truly shifted my perspective and challenged me to release control, trust the process, and move with intention. It has been a powerful reminder that growth often begins with letting go.

My daily inspiration comes from my three sons my why. Watching them grow into strong, thoughtful young men keeps me grounded and motivates me to lead by example in every area of my life.

I’m deeply grateful for my mentors, especially Kasha Johnson, a true powerhouse entrepreneur, and Kandi Burruss, whose vision, leadership, and authenticity continue to inspire me.

I’m also endlessly thankful for my best friends and my Bedroom Kandi family. Their encouragement, accountability, and love fuel me daily and remind me that community is everything.

None of this is done alone and I’m grateful for every person who has poured into me along the way. I’m also deeply grateful to my customers and clients. The trust they place in me is something I never take lightly. Many confide in me about very personal and intimate challenges—things they may have never felt safe enough to say out loud before. Being trusted with their stories, their questions, and their healing journeys is an honor and a responsibility.

Those moments remind me that this work is about more than business, it’s about listening without judgment, providing education with compassion, and creating spaces where people feel seen, respected, and supported. My customers continuously reaffirm my purpose and fuel my commitment to lead with integrity, empathy, and care.

None of this is done alone. I am grateful for every person who has poured into me, walked alongside me, and trusted me on this journey.
