We had the good fortune of connecting with Angie Danielle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angie, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’ve been sketching and drawing since I was an adolescent. I also took a couple of art classes In 2014, I painted for the first time when I went to a Sip and Paint facility called Sip n Strokes in Atlanta and I loved it. It was so calming.

I started painting at home most nights solo with my wine and the feeling I felt was amazing.

Fast forward to 2018, one of my close friends called me randomly and said ” I don’t know why this came over me, but my spirit led me to tell you keep pushing, your work is amazing and the world needs to see it.”

I’ve been actively painting ever since.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I named my art biz Eclectic Verve. I decided on that name randomly taking my son to school when I decided to make this a business. I chose that name because sometimes I just for back and think or can look at something and can drive an idea from it and spin it to make it unique and my own. I also get so much joy and enthusiasm when I create. It’s my peace and happy place.

I’m certainly not where I want to be but I’m so much further personally and creatively than before. It’s never been easy. I’m a bit of an introvert so it’s hard sometimes because I like being alone, I had to push myself hard to get out there meeting new people, new personalities and to get more social. I understood I needed to do that to put myself out there.

I’ve learned to keep being consistent, that was my biggest problem. I’d pop out then get a bit discouraged if I didn’t have immediate feedback and go back to being reclusive. I also had to understand if I didn’t believe in me then why would anyone else?!

I’m here to stay, I’m not going anywhere and I will continue to improve my craft everyday.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well my best friends already live here, so let’s see. I like to be active when I do step out or anything that has to do with the arts, so we’d probably find a karaoke lounge like Impulse lounge. I love skating so that would be on my list, I usually go to the rink in McDonough, Ga.
I’d also find an open mic night somewhere to listen to poetry and listen to indie artists, the two places I’ve gone to recently is Apache XLR and Gallery 992. I enjoyed them alot.
It’s been some years since I’ve been but I’d make the trip to Six Flags and White Waters
I honestly don’t have a favorite restaurant so we’d have to investigate that
High Museum of Art and Botanical Gardens are a must

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ll have to step out the box in this one. I know people usually focus on one thing or person that may have had a significant impact but I think I’ll give myself this shout-out. I have to thank myself to overcoming any doubt in myself and my work. For getting beyond the fear of people judging or not liking when I put my thoughts and passion on canvas.

Of course I do want to give appreciation and thanks to everyone who has given me encouragement, supported any event I’ve done and just dropped me a compliment.
