We had the good fortune of connecting with Angellic Richardson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angellic, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
The one thing that outsiders are unaware of, is the fact that we do not profit 100% from our business.

People express all the time how “that’s too expensive” but we give you the best quality products. We are also in 2023, nothing costs 2006 prices anymore.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a hair stylist! My business is UniLeeks. I specialize in Silk Pressing & Hair Color on Natural Hair! I am so proud how much knowledge I have gained this far & how much I have grown in my craft! I’m nowhere near where I’d love to be but I’m getting closer! To get HERE, where I currently am; it took me dedication & constructive criticism from others & myself. Was it easy? Absolutely not! Was it worth it? ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY! Keeping God first is how I overcame the trials & tribulations. Most days I would cry it out, shake it off & figure out how to make my next move my BEST move. The lessons I’ve learned along the way is, nobody is going to go hard for your brand BUT YOU! UniLeeks lives to make your hair happy & healthy!!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my bestie was coming to visit ATL, we would have a full day ahead of us! Firstly we’d go get brunch at Toast On Lenox. Then we would go to The Culture Experience, The Trap Museum, Atlanta Botanical Garden. We would be hungry by time we finished all of that, we would then go to either Southern Fire Kitchen or The Daiquiri Factory! & then we may spin the block to the Georgia Aquarium!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to shout out my mother. That’s so cliche but she woke me up one day & said “get up & get ready…you’re going to sign up for your GED”. I was shook, but if it wasn’t for that push. I wouldn’t be where I am today!

There have been so many others who have helped me along the way but my bestie A’Nayah definitely gets the credit too!!! She pushes me to be the best version of me!!
