We had the good fortune of connecting with Angelica Murphy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angelica, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
One thing about my industry that outsiders probably aren’t aware of is that janitors work very hard to provide a healthier environment for all. We do so by taking on tedious jobs that require long hours and hard work on a daily basis. We put our best work forward everyday understanding that we are doing this for the health and safety of others. Despite risks and often being looked down upon, we as janitors work to serve others and do our best to prevent the spread of germs, bacteria, and illnesses. We do all that we can to provide a clean environment.
What should our readers know about your business?
My business ProStandard Enterprises is professional and honest in everything we do. I am very excited to expand the business during COVID-19 to provide safer work environments for clients, giving our customers the ultimate cleaning experience. It was definitely not easy to get to where I am but it was well worth it. As a student of Georgia State University and a full time corporate employee, I had to learn to balance work, church, family, business, college, and my personal life. Along the way, I’ve learned, “just because it’s not easy, doesn’t mean you don’t do it”. I want the world to know that ProStandard Enterprises is here to provide quality work. We are dedicated to providing CDC standard sanitation cleaning services as well as disinfectant fogging services. You can depend on us.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love to eat so I’d advise readers to visit my favorite breakfast spot, Atlanta Breakfast Club, their food is amazing. I’d also recommend Negril Village for brunch, they have a nice atmosphere and great food. South City Kitchen or Maggianos would be nice for a go-to dinner. The Georgia Aquarium, Ponce City Market (belt line), and the Zoo are a few cool hangout spots that I enjoy. Treat Your Feet massage in Buckhead is nice and Kayaking in Sandy Springs is very relaxing.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost I thank God for providing me with the mindset and tools that he has given me to start and operate my business. I would also like to thank family and loved ones for helping me whether financially or with their dedicated services towards my business. Special shout out to Eric for his support with making a lot things happen by sacrificing his time for me and for my professional pictures and videos. Shout out to @mad.dope.studios for their professional business videos and love along the way.
