We had the good fortune of connecting with Angelica Baylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angelica, what is the most important factor behind your success?
My team, #TheJellybeanTeam . I have taken a lot of time and out a lot of thought behind who is a part of my team and what their role is. Honestly, the first half of my team was super easy because it consists of my Mommie, my sisters and my Manager. They are the executive team. They all work their natural gifts in my business, from finance to strategic planning, they all have strengths that help grow and maintain my business.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Neo-Pop artist. This is where Neo Soul meets Pop. Where Erykah Badu and Jill Scott meet Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. I have been singing with my family my entire life and in college I got the opportunity to audition for the Multi-Platinum RnB artist, Ginuwine, and I won! Since 2011, I have been one of his background singers and have been blessed to travel to over 35 of The United States and to 7 different countries including England and Uganda. I always had dreams of becoming an artist in my own right and the year of my 33rd birthday (2022) was MY YEAR (My Jesus Year)! It wasn’t the easiest trip BUT GOD has made it amazing!! I’ve learned to trust Him that much more because if I don’t know anything else, I do know that Our God will take care of me if I do right by Him. My brand reflects that love and light. My life mantra is “Spread Sunshine To Those In Need”, and that is what Angelica Baylor and #TheJellybeanTeam shows every time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Omg my favorite place is the Olympic Park and the Underground!
