We had the good fortune of connecting with Angelecia Stewart and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angelecia, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was raised in a small town called Talladega, Alabama. My family background included domestic violence and family dysfunction that back then everyone thought was normal. My upbringing involved seeing domestic violence in my mother’s home, losing my mother to the hands of my father, enduring childhood trauma from my mother’s side of the family, and my first domestic violence relationship as a teenager. I went through so many test and trials with a muted voice until one day as an adult I decided it was time for me to heal from all the hurt and pain from my past. My past is what made me into the woman I am today because without a doubt I overcame everything the enemy tried to take from me including the attempts to destroy me.
What should our readers know about your business?
I’ve always been told that I am a tentative listener and I give great advice but I honestly believe this has been my calling before I knew my purpose in life.
In December I came across a social media app called Clubhouse. I entered a room where everyone was sharing what they had been through and so many of them were crying as they shared. When it was my turn it was like God pushed me over the edge and showed me that it was time to go public with my story because it was no longer for me it was for the Angels with muted voices.
Sharing my story wasn’t easy because I never shared my past publicly so initially that was a challenge for me. I overcame that challenge because I knew as a Vessel for God it was time for me to start helping people globally who could resonate.
I want the world to know that I speak with a bold voice with an assignment to help unmute voices across the world one by one. I am an overcomer of childhood trauma and domestic violence. I know what it feels like to be raised in a family of mental instability, family dysfunction, generational trauma, low confidence and self-esteem also. But when you’re ready to heal there is nothing like self love, peace, and happiness.
My story is my Journey and that is how I created my business When Angel Speaks.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite go to place for brunch is First Watch in Hoover, Alabama. My favorite spot to hang out and watch sports while enjoying the moment is Sleek Bar in Birmingham, Alabama. 5-Points South, Lakeview District, and Avondale have the most amazing places and friendly atmosphere to go to.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My BIGGEST SHOUTOUT is to God. If I didn’t have hope and faith in Him there is no way I would be where I am today. My children have been my biggest blessings because no matter my struggles they’ve supported me from then and into my success.
I want to shoutout to every Angel across the world needing to activate their voice from silence because they deserve the recognition to HEAL and WIN!
