We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela McCoy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angela, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Transparency and honesty. We believe in under promising and over delivering. We are upfront from our very first consultation and stay true to the things we say we will deliver.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started Full Circle Consulting Group after being laid off. I was an EVP of Marketing of a Fortune 500 Company and the company was sold. At that point, I realized I did not want to work for another company and wanted to start my own firm. I took the knowledge, resources and severance package and birthed my company. I worked extremely long days in the beginning, but it has paid off. I enjoy what I do and I love being able to help others. We take a clients vision and turn it into reality.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Atlanta is an amazing city with so many things to do. Initially, We would go straight from the airport and grab a cocktail at Two Urban Licks – one of the best restaurants in town. Depending upon the time of the year, we would either bike ride daily on the Silver Comet Trail or the Beltline. Additionally, I would make sure we hit the spa at the St. Regis Hotel during the day. It is very peaceful and relaxing. Most of my friends enjoy historic things, so we would go to the African American Museum and spend some time on the west end of Atlanta. Atlanta is full of culture I’m not 100% sure a week is long enough to take it all in.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family is my tribe, and my everything. My husband and son are my biggest supporters. My husband and I work as a unit. We make decisions jointly, for whats best for the business. Studying and learning different industries, I had a lot of male mentors who helped me see business through the lens of men. Magic Johnson taught me to always stay a few steps ahead of your competition, while John Hope Bryant taught me , not all money is good money. Learning finances from some of the most business savvy people in the world at such a young age….priceless.
