We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Blessed and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angela, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson that my business have taught me was..You have to get up everyday to motivate yourself, Also to be Consistent in what you are doing even when you don’t feel like doing anything.. that’s when you press in harder and just do it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Growing up I came from a home where there wasn’t any love, communication, and hugs. I went through so much abuse from the age 4-6. I grew up angry not being understood nor could I read until my earlier 20’s. I had issues in Schools, Court System, and so on. This is why I first started Embracing Love Mentor in 2010 to help the out anyone (Youth/Young Adult) that have went through some of the same rooted issues that I have. Man walking the that path I had lot of push backs, and even my own friends laught at me when I would tell them about my plans. So when the negativity would come up I would press even harder to reach my goals. Along the way I’ve lost plenty of people I thought that was my friends. I’ve cried..I’ve blamed God, and I even wanted to give up, but when I look back on how far I came that’s when I know I had to keep going. So Embracing Love Mentor hands out journeys to trouble youth that doesn’t know how to properly communicate verbally. We show them how to write down in the journeys about their issues of life, negativity, and thier dislikes. After that we have them to write down one positive they like about them, and focuson the positive. This will give them a positive outlet. I get very excited when I can help others out. Coming from a horrible background with no love. Now I’m out here showing love. Last lol..So after I created Embracing Love Mentor I formed Real Talk w/Angela Blessed, Vurtuous Radio, Jive Talk Sports Podcast, Vurtuous Entertainment (Media/AB Production).

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Also if their is any entertainment going on with local Artist (Music) DA Cypher which it’s Aych.Events and their events is usually at the Crowbar in Ybor City. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I really want to give a big shout out to everyone that I have contacted to through this path that God has me walking down rather good, or bad it was a lesson learned. I mostly wanted to thank God for my grandmother Christian whom saw good in me when I was at my lowest. Whom loved me unconditional, and prayed for me when others wasn’t expecting for me to make it. #RIP
