We had the good fortune of connecting with Angel Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angel, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’ve come up with the idea for my business with my obsession for affordable clothing. I feel as a woman not only do I love to dress comfortable but I love to dress sexy and be able to achieve it for under $100.00
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is a newly online women’s clothing boutique. I feel what sets myself apart from others is my own creativity and my motivation and drive to do the best I can in everything I do. I’m mostly proud of the fact that I started something and no matter how many highs or lows it faced I haven’t given up on what I envision for my business to become. For I do know everything takes time but with consistency you’ll win. Running a business isn’t easy whether your a newbie or someone who’s been doing this for years I feel like we all face plenty of challenges and no success can happen over night. And I believe that’s where people have life a bit confused at..they think just because you may have a had some help or even some big support that the job is easier. I’ve overcome all my challenges by pushing myself to keep going knowing that if it doesn’t matter after 5mins it doesn’t deserve 5 days of me even talking about it. And one thing I would love for the world to know about me, as a woman, a brand owner and a student is that I’m a woman who lives for her, do it for her and go after everything I want so even if it takes some time anything I say Ima do, I do it.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Living in Atlanta, I think I would take my friend to about 5 spots in a one day if they were visiting because the fun just doesn’t stop here. So although Atlanta has a bunch of amazing restaurants and clubs and etc. I think we’d have to start our morning at Toast on Lenox, then do Kabob Land if was to be hungry again and grab some hookah. Then I’d say Copper Cove before we end our night at Magic City. So to me if you ever came to Atlanta and just wanted a great fun optimistic experience those will be my go-to.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom is someone I feel deserved recognition to my story not only is she an amazing parent but she’s my biggest support system in every aspect.
