We had the good fortune of connecting with Angel Grant and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Well, I come from a long line of entrepreneurs. I could fondly remember when I was a child I could see the beauty in people places and things. What some looked at as hopeless or unattractive , I could see or hear RAW beauty and or talent. At that time I didn’t know there was such a profession to assist people in these things I had a natural love for. Fast forwarding… I started to venture out of the rivers and lakes that I was use to and seek for what I felt there was a need for first myself and as I began to work / heal myself, I had a burning desire to share these findings with others and I’m still doing this to day. Healing NEVER STOPS….
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Yoni House is a Beauty and Wellness Spa. We are under the umbrella of Grant Girl, Inc. We take a holistic approach to every service. What I am most proud of is our growth. We are now almost fully staffed with amazing talents beings and we now are in a new location and looking for more locations with now an opportunity to franchise. There will alway be challenges especially as an owner… its all about how you react in the eye of the storm … that will predict your outcome… There are NO SHORTCUTS!!!! If your wanting to stay around and also have a mentor or mentors… Respect what you learn but NOT mimic do it your way. I have found some would come to mimic and fail because they are not embracing their own incredible talents and gifts. We all have a purpose. We just have to dig deep to know what that is…
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would do a morning meditation and yoga, I would prepare us breakfast & lunch and we can go to Soul Vegetarian for dinner, hang out at the park laugh catch up and treat them to a service at The Yoni House Spa before they head back to their destination .
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and Foremost I would like to acknowledge God for continuously directing my pathway and keeping me in a space of constant humiliation , my family for being a constant support, my parents for being a blueprint, my friends for encouraging me to keep going, TD for all you do, Scooter and Coco for keeping me laughing, I would like to shout out our amazing staff who are on our front line always giving of themselves , showing up early and staying late, doing things that are not in their job descriptions and being a TEAM PLAYER ! and our clients for supporting us and allowing us to keep our doors open to serve.
