We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrew Burns and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrew, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
One of my favorite quotes I’ve heard is “The two best times to plant a tree is 2 years ago, and today.” That quote speaks volumes to me because in life I think sometimes you look back and wish you had done something sooner when in reality at times you just have to trust your gut, and take the plunge.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think what sets me a part from others is my ability to relate to people on any level. I’ve had quite the journey to get to this point and Ive worked in a lot of vastly different industries. My wife always gets mad at me because I make conversations and friends almost anywhere we go. I would say what I’m most proud of is how I just came out of the gate swinging with real estate. I really had some great mentors and support systems in place so the second I got my license I just went full speed ahead and never slowed down.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Obviously you’ve got to start with our World Series Braves. I would say hit the Battery a few hours early for some great food and then catch a Braves game. Outside of that I’m a big foodie! Some of the best spots around I would say are Fellini’s pizza, Bangkok Cabin for Thai food, and I’d have to say Henrys Louisiana Grill for some good ‘ole down south meals.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Definitely my family. Everyone in my life has been so supportive and encouraging. I’m also super grateful for all the people I’ve worked with in the past, etc because everybody to some extent has impacted my life.
