We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Williamson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my brand as a fitness coach and influencer came from the thought of scarcity. I say this because I was in a time in my life when everything was falling apart. My relationship was failing and that trickled into so much because we where helping each other and when you are no longer with each other that help stops. I lost my school grants due to not being able to make it to school anymore due to my partner at the time refusing to take me. One day after crying and trying to figure out how I could advance in life with all these obstacles against me a lady reached out to me by liking a picture of hers and told me about an opportunity to become a fitness influencer, changing my life forever. Being a fitness influencer has been a dream of mine since graduating high school. I saw it as a way to encourage people and make an impact on my community to be self-validating and self-sufficient.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My brand started from heart break and disappointment. We stand out because we help timid women through fitness live as their authentic selves without shrinking back in discomfort by establishing healthy self care practices. Over time our brand has grown to know the impact we want to make in this world. Since this mission started from disappointment #FitChiixProject has set out to help women and men learn how to validate themselves so their worth isn’t tied to people or things by helping my clients become more self-sufficient to rely on their abilities. #FitChiixProject provides a virtual fitness learning experience in our exclusive online fitness studio. Creating a safe environment to grow and stay on track with our goals! We provide weekly workouts, motivation, and daily and weekly check-ins to help you reach your goals through any obstacles.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When people visit from out of state or want something to do I would suggest fashion shows, art shows, lounges, and outdoor events.

So a weekend with me looks like
A group workout session or Yoga with friends. After would be brunch at my favorite breakfast bar in Atlanta called Gocha’s Breakfast Bar which is Black-owned in the thriving city of East Point and College Park. Then meet up for an evening fashion show, lounge, or art show to end the evening.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my life to Jesus and my little brother Adrien. They taught me life is short and to live it impacting people lives for the better. I want to give a shout to my 1st mentor Danita for challenging me and my 2nd mentor Artina for not giving up on me! Shout to the people who believed in me when family couldn’t. A special Shoutout to all my followers that support me and has been with me through thick and thin. A warm shout-out to the ladies who gave me the opportunity to coach them remember Fitye Gang or no gang . Also a shout to my fans who love to watch, I hope you guys pop out to some of our events with your friends!
