Meet Andrea Furtick | Founder & CEO of AGC Toys Inc.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Furtick and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andrea, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
Resilience is one of my greatest superpowers, and in the world I’ve created, giving up simply isn’t an option. As both a gamer and a creative entrepreneur, I see life and business as the ultimate adventure—full of levels to unlock, challenges to overcome, and wins worth celebrating. There’s no way I could step away from the game when I know the next move could change everything.
We are often only one pivot, one decision, or one bold step away from reaching our goals. Fear and doubt may show up along the path, but I’ve learned they are never stronger than me. Over a decade ago, I started my career as a fine artist and author. If someone had told me then that I’d evolve into a toy and video game designer, I might not have believed them. But destiny has a way of revealing itself—sometimes in the most magical ways. For me, it was literally in the cards: tarot was the unexpected doorway into IP design, sparking the journey that has since been full of pivots, lessons, breakthroughs, and yes, plenty of joy.
So how could I give up on a heroic story that’s still unfolding? The next chapter is always waiting to be written, and I intend to write it boldly.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What makes AGC Toys Inc. unique is our ability to take creative IP and expand it far beyond a single medium. Where many artists or designers may see one clear path, we see entire universes waiting to unfold. At AGC, a story doesn’t just live on the page—it evolves into consumer products, technology, entertainment, and experiences that people can touch, play, and connect with in magical ways.
Our flagship IP, Afro Goddess Warriors, is the perfect example. What began as hand-painted artwork has transformed into a multi-dimensional brand: plush dolls, collectibles, trading cards, chat companions, and now—video games. Watching these characters evolve from canvas to culture has been one of my proudest achievements, because each new format deepens their connection with our community.
Of course, the road here hasn’t always been smooth. Early on, signing with the wrong agency cost me valuable time and opportunities. But setbacks became lessons, and resilience became my greatest tool. That challenge forced me to realign, reposition, and ultimately partner with TreImage, a world-renowned licensing agency. Today, I sit firmly in the driver’s seat, steering AGC toward massive opportunities for my team and the audiences we serve.
If there’s one thing I want the world to know, it’s this: AGC Toys isn’t just about products—it’s about building worlds. Every doll, game, and story we create is designed to inspire resilience, imagination, and empowerment in the people who experience them. That’s the true heartbeat of our brand.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When my friends visit Atlanta, I want them to experience the city the way I do—as a place where innovation, culture, and luxury collide. Because most of my circle are entrepreneurs and business leaders, our standard of living extends into every aspect of our time together. We work hard, so when it’s time to play, we make sure the amenities match that same energy.
On-site workdays are spent at the high-tech hub of Atlanta Tech Village, where mornings begin with coffee from Kula and rooftop lunches flow seamlessly into meetings with big ideas. Off-site days can take us all over this beautiful city, but one of my favorite meetup spots is The Office Bar in Midtown—it has just the right mix of energy and intimacy for collaboration and connection.
When it comes to food, Atlanta spoils us with choices. Brunch at Milk and Honey is always a must. Evenings are for indulging in some of my favorites: the fresh flavors of Blu Seafood, the creative Asian-fusion at Girl Diver, or the chic vibe and modern plates at 5Church Midtown. With a city as vibrant as Atlanta, every day feels like a balance of productivity and play—just the way I like it.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Once upon a time, I had the experience of a lifetime competing on Wes Bergmann’s Blox Entrepreneurial Reality Competition (Amazon Prime, Season 7). When I walked away with the award for “Most Investable”, I had no idea how profoundly that moment would reshape my life and business. The recognition was powerful, but the real transformation came from the community I gained. Suddenly, I wasn’t building alone—I had a tribe of brilliant, relentless entrepreneurs by my side.
Since then, I’ve grown from contestant to serial judge on the show, and I carry deep gratitude for Wes, the judges, and the entire Blox community. Your grit, resilience, and willingness to share your gifts have left an indelible mark on me. This shoutout belongs to you. May we continue to rise together, fight for more, and keep proving that greatness multiplies when shared. Let’s go!!!
