We had the good fortune of connecting with André Furrari and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi André, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The importance of seeing a project/goal, whatever it is, all the way through!
Ive had projects that I started and never finished then time passes and I revisit the body of work & wished I completed it the first go.

You never know how things can be perceived by others so its best to just finish the project or goal and let the outcome be the outcome, then build from there.

It taught me the importance of being consistently prompt & mindful about tasks ahead and the lesson of seizing the day or the moment. Carpé Diem!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m currently in my phase of an Executive/Entrepreneurial Artist. I’ve been involved in the music & entertainment industry for over 6 years and have seen highs, lows, & plateaus with my art. Whether it was early in my career and I met with label execs to discuss a joint venture record deal or meeting with Venture Capitalists to secure funding to begin my own company both experiences gave me confidence and preparation to deal with the yes and the nos’ that come with this game.

It wasn’t always easy and that’s what help me create thick skin and not to take things personal and be overly emotional when something didn’t go my way. Transitioning from an athlete in the sports industry to an artist in the entertainment industry was slightly complexed in the beginning. Sports & music are synonymous, both showcase talents on stages to a sizable audience. You’re granted the opportunity to display your talents to the world! Gratefully, I was fortunate to come across some really genuine people throughout my career that offered insight of ways to handle critics while staying focused on the main thing, which is the art! They helped me get in rooms I probably shouldn’t have been in at such an early stage in my career because they saw the talent & understood the vision. All of this was a culmination of what inspired my brand.

GLIMPZ, was created to inspire people to go for what they believe and bet on themselves. We as people all have desires of things we want to accomplish, experience, achieve no matter the category of the result, its the pursuit that we love to chase just for a taste or GLIMPZ of the glory of success!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ok so my last stationary placed was Dallas & I’m currently in process of relocating but here’s my Dallas itinerary! 1st I have to take them to the food spots. I’m a fat kid at heart so we have to hit the seafood places like The Crab Station, Tasty Tails, Pacific Table & get the oyster, crab, & lobster combo.

next, id probably take them to deep ellum for drinks, wings, sushi, tacos, & vibes. I think Deep Ellum is one of the main places visitors attract too. Oh & we have to hit the spot called Kitchen & Cocktails too! & those are really just the ground breakers for the food. I go crazy on sushi so mandatory to swing by Kessaku, Uchi, Blue Sushi & Museum. its so many boutique-ish restaurants and mom&pop restaurants that are fire too!

nightlife & day parties are straight here too, always something to do. Spots like Legacy Hall, The Star, Levels, Harlowe, 5am, etc. Rooftop parties, rooftop bars, clubs, strip clubs & wings (lol) so it really depends on the time of day or night and the vibe we going for at the moment.

if we’re looking for something chill probably take them to a lounge. There’s a lounge place I know that sells these really crazy Ox Tail tacos, amazing! of course they have drinks & hookahs too but I’m here for the tacos.

and for sure depending what season they visit have to hit a Mavs or Cowboy game! oh and have to hit the go kart track!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Of course a shoutout to 2 super important people. They help with operations for GLIMPZ, one assists with analytics (sister, Jessica), and the other assists with logistics (mother, Loretta.)

Jessica, has a an extensive background in the medical field so Im often asking her to view charts for me that shows the GLIMPZ’ demographic statistics. She shows me patterns so I’m prepared for an increase or decrease in sales, engagement, and audience size etc.

Loretta, has a decorated background in the industries of finance, logistics, engineering & management! Between those two & my network im able to work confidently & securely towards making GLIMPZ one of the worlds biggest & best brands.

It’s definitely a few more that have contributed but those two have been there the longest for sure.
