We had the good fortune of connecting with Amir Ansari and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amir, what inspires you?
I believe that creativity isn’t limited to artists, and play isn’t just for children. Instead, play is an enhanced state of mind that fuels creativity, innovation, and fulfillment in people of all ages. The inspiration to start Playmore came from my deep desire to help people remember the innate imaginative abilities we are born with – abilities that often get lost under the demands of everyday life. By reigniting natural human creativity, I hope to empower others to see the world with fresh eyes, embrace a limitless mindset, and unlock possibilities in their lives.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Playmore’s mission is to ignite the power of human imagination by redefining play as a state of mind for all ages. What sets us apart is our dedication to fostering creativity and imaginative thinking, building a community that embraces play as a perspective that is an essential part of everyday life.

I currently offer my services through project-based consultations, speaking engagements, personalized coaching, and innovative tools that are coming in 2025.

Playmore isn’t just a company—it’s a movement to bring more creativity, positivity, and possibility into the world. We are at the beginning of an exciting journey, where everyone is welcome, and the sky is the limit. I truly hope you come along.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Keep an eye out for the Playmore mascot, Sparky – a 1967 Jeepster Commando! Sparky brings all the best nostalgic vibes! When friends visit, you might see us cruising to countryside stores around Alpharetta and Milton, exploring off the beaten path. There’s a small café and donut shop called Bloom Roadside that’s the perfect pitstop on the route to the road-trip-worthy town of Ball Ground, GA. There you will find an authentic German deli, Frankfurt Doner & Meats with a “life-changing sandwich” on the menu – and that’s no exaggeration!

There are lots of public parks nearby to enjoy Georgia’s beautiful landscape, but a personal favorite is the short hike to the top of Indian Seats at Sawnee for its stunning long-range views. Back in Alpharetta there are endless shopping and restaurant options to choose from in the downtown area. It’s best to stroll aimlessly and without an agenda, to stay open to the possibilities of what you might discover. The Alpharetta Farmers Market is a great way to start a weekend, with local farmers and artisans excited to share their passions and products. Be sure to check out the Sculpture Garden path around city hall, which includes a 7-foot U.S. Military Veterans memorial statue.

Food, art, and music festivals are always fun to check out; “Taste of Alpharetta” and “Wire and Wood” are two of my personal favorites. For something more active, there’s the multi-use Alpha Loop that connects downtown to Avalon, or the Big Creek Greenway which offers 9 miles of paved access through forest to explore. For me there’s always something to do, and it usually includes fresh air and a comfortable pair of shoes.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I decided to shoutout to the U.S. military. Serving in the Army was both an honor and a privilege. I had the privilege of working under incredible leaders who showed me I was capable of more than I ever imagined. My military experience taught me the importance of self-care and maintaining a positive mindset, regardless of the circumstances. To honor the sacrifices of those who gave everything, I am committed to living authentically, relentlessly creating my version of the American dream. Also, Roald Dahl, Shel Silverstein and ALL those who help keep the magic of imagination alive!
