Meet Amber Vincent Alejandro | Filmmaker, Event Coordinator, Model & Fitness Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Vincent Alejandro and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amber, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
It’s all about lifestyle. Lifestyle is what determines what is important to a person on a day-to-day basis and habits are formed based on the lifestyle one is currently living or wishes to lead. Health and wellness makes up a great deal of my lifestyle. Ever since I’ve decided to pursue powerlifting, healthy eating, and recreational sports, my mindset changed and I became much more focused, confident and determined to step out on faith to pursue my dreams. Growing up in a household where hard work and greatness was an expectation, I’ve carried with me the habits that were instilled in me as a kid: study, work hard, be honest, and be great.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Technically, in the professional world, I am an Event Operations Coordinator. After hours, however, I am still an Event Operations Coordinator/Manager – and many other things. Yes, I wear several hats. After my daytime job, I am a filmmaker who writes and edits script, funds the film project, build and maintain a crew, recruit for talent, create call-sheets, storyboards, etc., and manage the fundraising and marketing efforts. I am the executive producer and director of all film projects under my organization, Covenant Films. I am also an actress, model, and. model coach. I am always collaborating with visual artists and creatives who have concepts that they wish to bring to life. I am most excited about the launch of my fashion-forward event, Starstruck Fashion Expo . Starstruck Fashion Expo is a networking event with a mission to bring together creatives and industry professionals in the world of fashion & entertainment so that new talent may be discovered, valuable business relationships may be formed, and project ideas may be endorsed and brought to fruition for the world to experience.
Starstruck’s first expo originally went live March of 2021 in Alabama. Given the high level of support, I’ve decided to renew Starstruck as an ongoing yearly event. Although, The expo is expected to go live, again, on February 25, 2023, in Atlanta, Ga., (almost two years later), its community involvement and support is expected to be much greater.
Starstruck Fashion Expo’s goal is to assist with funding towards the creation of a fully functional educational, career-preparedness, & wellness school for young ladies so that they may learn poise and etiquette of modeling, learn beauty skills/techniques, build a modeling/acting portfolio, apply everyday wellness strategies to support a successful career (more specifically) in modeling/acting, and build overall charisma/character.
This career-preparedness center/school is named the Starstruck Model Development School (SMD). I have always had a passion for modeling and education. Now, I am finally listening to my community about using my gift to teach young women how to be role models and global citizens while pursuing their dreams.
I want the world to know that anything is possible as long as you put in the right work, energy, and dedication into your pursuits. My story is simple: I was just a little girl who held onto the dream that I’d be a model one day. I was turned down as a model at 17 because of my height, and thought for a moment it was the end of the road. But, I kept going. Little did I know that God was developing a ROLE model.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My best friend and I visit GA.,ALL of the time, and places to visit are listed below:
1. The Illuminarium
2. Chateau De Elan (North Ga.)
I would spend a week at the Chateau alone! I love romantic and calming experiences that involve excellent food, spa dates, a little recreational sports, cooking classes, and WINE tastings.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are several people who deserve credit and recognition in my story. I’m a “Jill” of many trades and the people I have met are very talented individuals who helped me bring many of my visions to life. From my personal trainer and husband, Tomas Alejandro III to my film crew for my media projects, I am grateful for their service and continued teamwork when working with me. Two of my best friends, Moiya Richard and Aaliyah Burt, are licensed cosmetologists who always have my back in the makeup department for my photo and film shoots. Jordan B. of Jordan B. Photography and Rogers Williams Jr., both cover my film needs on media projects. The Royal Factotum, a modeling troupe I am a member of, continues to uplift me in fashion modeling and anything pertaining to events. I also want to give a shout-out to Anencio Mariani of 3rd Echelon, Michael Moorer, and Kevin Spencer of KLS photography for collaborating with me as a model. Another special shout out goes to one of the many esteemed fashion designers that I hold dearly to my heart, Antowan Fleeton. Antowan has a passion for fashion design and when working with me, he ensured that he supported my goals pertaining to my love for fashion and modeling.
