We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Rodriguez aka GalaxEGirl and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, what makes you happy? Why?
What makes me happy? I would have to say my husband and my son. My little family that I’ve created makes my heart explode. They make me happy because, they never let me fall, they make me laugh on my hardest days, they show me so much love, and they support me in my dreams. I’m so incredibly thankful for the selflessness my husband shows and how much he wants my dreams to become reality. Being a streamer and a mom is one of the hardest thing I’ve ever done but to have the support system I have, is such a huge blessing. So yeah, I would definitely 1000% have to say my husband and my son! They are my backbone.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I currently am a Orthodontic assistant full time and a part-time Twitch streamer. It has not been easy working fulltime, being a mom, and creating content so shoutout to all the parent streamers out there. You’re killing it.

Getting to where I am today has honestly been a journey. I’ve had a lot of trials and tribulations including pregnancy, harassment that almost caused me to stop streaming, and horrible anxiety but everything that I’ve been through has been worth it. As I’ve mentioned before my family is my backbone and the reason why I’m where I am today. I’ve learned that the struggles you go through only make you stronger and there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. You can’t let a few unfortunate events get in the way of your success. Keep pushing and it will be worth it, I promise!!

Streaming has made my life 10x better. The chaos, the love, the absolute crazy support has just been awesome to see. The people that I’ve met have changed my life and I feel like that’s what sets us apart is that we are like family. Having such a tight knit community is so hard to find so I’m thankful for each and every one of them.

I want the world to know that I’m just getting started. For once I feel like I’m meant for something and its the greatest feeling in the world. I’m proud of the community I’ve created and can’t wait to see what else we can accomplish. I’m excited for more charity streams, more cosplays, for more opportunities to grow, and I’m also excited to keep creating a safe place for others. This is just the beginning!!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting for a week I would try my best to make it the most fun, relaxing trip they’ve had. We would start off by getting the city passes and visit the Atlanta Zoo, the Georgia Aquarium, The World of Coke, maybe even visit the CNN center. We would do that the first few days and of course in between all the fun we have to eat good too. You can’t visit ATL without going to The Varsity, so that’s a must. I would also take them to the Sundial because you absolutely cant beat the view (and the food). We would also visit Centennial Park and have a picnic while we people watch. To end the week off, we go to the spa!! Who doesn’t love a spa day?! End the trip nice and relaxed and ready to take on what’s next!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
MY COMMUNITY!! They know exactly who they are. The GalaxEBabes are the most amazing people I know. They have changed my life more than they realize and I’m forever grateful. I will never be able to repay them for all they have done for me. I would also like to give a shoutout to SpiderTiff, another twitch streamer, who has been so dang supportive in my journey. She has believed in me from the first time I met her and I can’t wait for her to blow up like I know she’s going to! Tiff if your reading this, I love you!!!
