Meet Amber Jasmine Smith | Disney Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Jasmine Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amber Jasmine, what is the most important factor behind your success?
One of the important factors to being a Disney Influencer is to really embrace your inner Fangirl. The term Fangirl comes from a person who gets very excited about a particular subject -usually relates to pop culture. It could be a singer, athlete, Sports team, actor or even a makeup artist. You find a mutual interest between yourself and that person and it really brings a smile on your face. Everyone has something they personally enjoy. Many like myself relate to going to Disney or going to the movies. I don’t shy away from what I love, I believe in embracing what you love. I love to tell others when you do a craft you enjoy or go to your favorite place or be around your favorite people, it brings happiness and warmth to your everyday life. It causes less stress, more laughter and creates an atmosphere of bliss. My motto is Do what you love.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am originally from Atlantic City, New Jersey. My family was involved in the fashion industry, and I really grew up with learning about different style of clothes and going to fashion week. I like to incorporate fashion into Disney styles. There is a former art known in the Disney World as Disney 💞🧜🏻♀️ bounding. Disney bounding is a artist style that you can dress up as one of your favorite characters from a Disney show or Disney movie you’ve seen and you can corporate the colors that they wear or wear your hair in that style of the character. You can create various designs from different movies. It is something similar to cosplay. You can dress it up or dress it down. I do have some influences with other countries on how they like to Disney bound. One of the Disney locations that I look forward to visiting is the Disney Tokyo sea – where they actually wear their hair styles like Rapunzel. It’s just fun to dress up in one of the most magical places on Earth!!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a Libra so I definitely love to have a good time. I am a Foodie so definitely going to some of the best restaurants is a MUST! I currently reside in Atlanta, GA, but I travel back-and-forth between Orlando, Atlanta and Anaheim,CA and there’s Definitely a difference in the restaurants in each state. I would take some of my girlfriends to see the best view for fireworks in a rooftop Overlook some magical destinations called California Grill. Even if we just went to sightsee and walk around having a great time, going to Disney Springs or Universal CityWalk in the late afternoon is a mood. The traffic is a bit Rough So definitely having patience is the key. I love to eat filet mignon with white wine so definitely Going to STK at night is one of my favorites.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
“I Am Your Father” is one of my father’s favorite sayings. Growing up as a fan girl, I learned about my ways through the forest through my father. He was a Star Wars nerd. He used to play all the movies on our big screen TV in the theater room. My first big midnight premiere, where everybody dressed up in Star Wars Jedi robes, and experiencing the large crowd gathering during a movie was revenge of the Sith. I was like seven years old and that’s when I really fell in love with Star Wars. I do believe the way you determines the future especially your likes and dislikes. I was very blessed growing up. My father took me to Disneyland when I was three years old and I have a picture with Mickey Mouse that I cherish so dearly. I remember falling in love with Harry Potter and going to universal. I remembered He used to take me to the opening of the visiting world in Orlando, Florida. My father didn’t with me into slithering and I bought my first robes from Hogwarts at universal. I will always cherish that moment. I grew up a movie girl so being able to experience that A loved one was a filling that I really cherish.
