We had the good fortune of connecting with Amaria Demia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amaria, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from Brunswick, Georgia. I grew up in the country and remembering how hard my family worked, The expectations they wanted out of me was my biggest motivation. With that, I had to grow out of the layers of limitations and start revealing my creative side. Now here I am today, still discovering the other creative sides that I have, and I want to encourage others to do the same.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Hearing a lot of No’s doesn’t mean its forever. I love my life, but where I want to be at in life will be booking casting calls back to back, hearing backing from modeling agencies, having the financial support to help my spiritual brothers & sisters off the streets and in homes. I’m a brand ambassador for 2 companies that I work for, and I’m also an inspiring director & screenwriter, as well as being an actor.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In Atlanta it’s Always a good time so you can pretty much go anywhere to see interesting things. My itinerary would probably be Spice house for brunch I love the Bread & low country grits, A walk around Piedmont park then Bartaco for lunch it’s really cheap tacos & 10/10 drinks !! Or for a more dine out meal Tacos & Tequilas is also a favorite of mine. And for a night of fun Edgewood has some hot bars usually I check Instagram or Eventbrite but trust ATL doesn’t sleep.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to dedicate to my family back home I don’t know where I would be today without your love and support. My roommates Valeria & Brian who inspire me everyday. A group of wonderful young women that I’ve been so proud to be a part @peachy.creators. And of course my significant other Truman who I love so much.
