We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Osborne and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amanda, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I Amanda Osborne was born and raised in Nashville, TN on the East Side of Nashville. I would say that my background and upbringing impacted who I am today. I was raised by my mother, who had three other children, and we were a close-knit family, and my mother made sure we took care of one another and that we always had what we needed. My grandmother played a very big role because we all spent a lot of time with her, so there was always family around, and family is so important. Family time is where you learn what is right and wrong and how important it is to care for yourself and others. I am very family-oriented and I love my family and friends, and I will do what I need to do to make sure everyone is happy. I saw my mother working hard to provide for us, which taught me that you work hard to get what you need and that hard work pays off.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Nicole’s Sensuosus Smells offers natural, self-care products ,such as whipped body butters, whipped body soaps, bath salts, bath scrubs, organic rose water, hydrating cuticle oil pens, four different types of handmade Waistbeads and so much more. Our products are handcrafted with positive vibes and with the intention of helping you remain nourished in mind, body, and spirit!

What sets my brand apart from others is that I am very passionate about the services and products that I have to offer. I take pride in making sure I make a connection with all of my clients and listening to make sure I take in what they are expecting to get out of my products. I take the time to follow my clients through their journeys and I make sure I’m available when needed. I study constantly to make sure I’m updated and I make sure that I am able to educate my clients.

I am most proud to say that I am a small business owner and that I was able to do it. It took a lot of hard work and dedication, but hard work pays off. We are walking into year two in July of 2022.

I get excited when I receive referrals and when my brand is mentioned in rooms that I am not in. I get excited about announcing to my clients that my brand is growing and that I am vending at different events around the city. I get excited to see that I have shipped to 30 states. That is so major to me.

What I would like the world to know is, that there would be no brand without GOD who is the head of my life and who guides me and give me the strength to keep pushing daily.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting me for the week, I would like to show her the city of Nashville. This city is a VIBE and there is so much to see in the IT CITY. On Monday, we would go eat breakfast at the pancake pantry near Vanderbilt, then eat lunch at Fifth and Broad and do a little shopping and sight-seeing. On Tuesday, we could go to the Museum of African American Music in Nashville and then go by the cupcake collection to get treats. Once the sun goes down, we can go ride bikes near the farmers’ market on Rosa Parks. On Wednesday, we would go by the Flash Me Xperience on Jefferson Street to the selfie studio/art gallery. We would also go to Princess Hot Chicken for dinner. On Thursday, we would have breakfast at Cracker Barrell and swing by Oprymills Mall to do some shopping and mani-pedi. For dinner, we will go to the Game Terminal, where we can play the old school arcade games. On Friday we would just go with the flow, stop by and see a few friends and family, then head over to V-Steam Healing Lounge in Madison, TN to get Yoni Steams, and then we would stop by Reflections BeautiBar in Nashville, TN to do some shopping at Xquisite Dreamz Boutique and get our eyebrows waxed. For the night life, we would go down to Broadway and sightsee and bar hop. There is so much to do down there. On Saturday, we would go by a few pop-up shops. There are several of them going on and we can support some of my business friends. On Sunday we will go to church and then have brunch.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shoutout to my mother, Angela Grisham. She was with me through the entire process, I told her I wanted to start my own business and I explained to her why and what my vision was and that I had it all down on paper and that I planned to launch in October of 2020 and she stated why wait, do it now. She is my biggest support. She has always encouraged me to go for whatever I wanted, and she has always guided me along the way. She has always been there through the good, the bad, and the ugly. Most importantly, she has been there. She is the rock of the family and she is our go-to person for everything.
