We had the good fortune of connecting with Amai West and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amai, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
It helps people become more self aware of their unapologetic beauty teaches people to embrace themselves

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is my willingness to go the extra mile for something that I believe in the difference between being a lot of people is some people will recognize a dream and because it’s far out of reach from them they automatically think that they cannot accomplish it when it comes to me. In my dreams in my goals I feel like the sky is the limit I can go anywhere and with that determination, I have really accomplished some great things at my young age if you’re betting on me, you’re betting on a star you’re betting on somebody strong somebody that works well with others and a great team player I have my own motto I am too big to hide myself, and I am too P.H.A.T not to be seen and that is what inspired my name for my new st., Talkshow PHATCHAT my show is all about having fun in loving what you have love and what God gave you and silly questions to get to know the viewers to get to know every day people and hopefully one day celebrities

I swore up and down. God did not hear me when I was getting bullied in school for saying I was going to be a model of the actors one day, and now that he’s pointed me in different paths to achieve that goal. I am forever grateful so one thing I want you to know about my story as I said, in the beginning, I did not do this alone, and I needed help from nobody but G-O-D

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So I love sister Louises church on Edgewood. I love doing karaoke at the Joystick in Gamebar. I love taking strolls on the Atlanta beltline when it’s a nice day with my dogs, Chozyn and glamour. And some of my favorite food restaurants to go eat at is the KPOT in Korean BBQ restaurant. The juke joint downtown Atlanta. I absolutely love to eat at juicy crab as well. Definitely would check out the Ebenezer Baptist church that the late in great MLK grew up in.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Where is the foremost? I want to say shout out to my Lord and Savior for getting me through all of the tough times that had me thinking. Could I really do this? Can I really accomplish what you have set for me and for that I will always and forever praise the Lord and Savior. I want to thank my family and my friends for supporting me people who go the extra mile for me I think them, because without anybody I wouldn’t be able to do any of this. I would like to give a shout out to Blackdiarylove. I love all of you guys and I was want to give a shout out to myself for Staying strong
