We had the good fortune of connecting with Alyssa Garrett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alyssa, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
How do I know whether I should keep going or should I give up? If I’m being completely honest, that’s something I struggle with from time to time. Being an entrepreneur is HARD! There’s a lot of sacrifices that you make for a dream that sometimes only you can see. But what I’ve learned to do is choose my hard. For me, I would rather get up each day and work towards creating the life I desire – the way I look at it, is that I could be just one client away or one social media post away from becoming that household name you associate with real estate so why not keep pushing forward because the time is going to pass anyway and ultimately, it’s something inside of me that keeps me motivated, and that keeps me energized to stay focused on my goals. And surrounding myself with other successful peers & loved ones that pour into me as well encourages me to keep going.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Realtor in the metro Atlanta area where I offer elevated buying & selling experiences. The customer experience is what sets me apart from other Realtors. My goal is to be able to tailor the experience to my clients needs however, I’ve implemented processes throughout that will ensure I’m able to do such while prioritizing multiple clients. What I’m most proud of in this business is when I’m able to assist the client that wasn’t successful in the past that believed homeownership wasn’t an option for them. There’s a rewarding feeling when you’re able to witness the pure joy and happiness that one feels when he/she receives the clear to close notification. Over the last several years, I’ve helped hundreds of families and been recognized as a top producing Realtor within my brokerage as well as a member of the Metro South Association of Realtors Circle of Excellence Million dollar club but getting to this point didn’t happen over night or was it “easy.” A lot of training, coaching, being consistent and work has gone into getting me to this level & as I think about how I want to continue to grow some of those lessons learned along the way will be needed. For example, if I can share a few that have helped me, in hopes of others benefiting from it as well I would share the following; 1) Always be teachable, 2) Always operate your business like a business & carry yourself as such, and lastly; 3) Give yourself a little Grace. Understand that comparison is the thief of joy & that social media allows people to portray any image he/she chooses so don’t get caught up in comparing yourself – run your own race and focus on your own lane.

The world should know that Alyssa Garrett is a strong, focused and determined young woman that, is “Strong enough to stand along, but wise enough to stand together when the times comes.” I welcome collaboration over competition. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people that have helped me get to this point & I absolutely cannot thank them enough. I have been blessed to cross the paths of so many genuine people that honestly just want to see me succeed so every gem they have shared, client they have referred or advice they have given along the way it is much appreciated. I always hate to name names because I never want to overlook anyone because again, I’ve been blessed to be able to connect with some pretty awesome and influential people where even if it was a quick conversation or if this is someone that I consider a mentor I’ve taken something from it to grow. I will say, my mother is truly an inspiration, from seeing her successfully manage properties growing up to owning her own successful tax business to this day, my Metro Brokers family, several agents I’ve connected with in the business, Prestige Media, Itsenutopia, and Shallow Focus Media thank you all for assisting me with creating some dope content these last few years &. we are just getting started! And again, there’s so many people / courses so I just want to thank them all.
