We had the good fortune of connecting with Alyssa Foster and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alyssa, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
Something my dad told us a little bit before he passed, “Tomorrow is not promised, live for today.” It is my life motto, honestly. To not worry about the what ifs in life, to just jump and not worrying about falling. My dad was my hero, like most daughters, except I only had mine around for 14 short years. This life quote is something I live by everyday, and try to remind my clients, especially my senior clients. As I want them to feel like their absolute best when shooting a session with me. Though I feel like this is good life advice for anyone in any step of life. Life is such a beautiful gift, and I believe we should make the most of it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I work with many other photographers on a day to day basis, so it’s hard to pinpoint what sets me apart specifically. If I had to give you something though it would be how I love capturing things that light my soul on fire and getting to share that moment with my clients. I love that my clients get to experience the same amount of joy that overwhelms me when I get to shoot their session. I appreciate every single client that chooses me, as their photographer, to capture life’s sweetest and most precious moments. I make it a priority to make each client feel like their most true and wonderful self. My goal is to show every client that I get to work with, the raw beauty within them.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely taking out a boat on either Lake Lanier or Lake Hartwell! I love a good lake day – and would also recommend some wineries and cute boutiques around town! Places like Purple Door and Image Boutique. Personally I love to just chill and grill out at my own place – living in the country has the views and the peacefulness that is perfect within itself.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Firstly, my parents. One cheering me on in heave, the other cheering me on from my side. I am thankful to have such great parents to lead me in life and to let me jump into such a wonderful pathway, photography. They support me from all angles of life, but my mom now plays both roles of parents, and I am so proud of her. Even though I don’t say that often enough, I am truly proud of her.
