Meet Almalik El-Amin: Singer Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Almalik El-Amin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Almalik, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
We want to be internationally known, and have performed all around the world.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets us apart from others is our passion to the music. I’m not saying everyone isn’t passionate when they do music, us as a band we are just very passionate. Even when we’re not with each other, we are still working on our craft. When you hear our music, you will say “that’s the El-Amin sound.” No dream you chase is easy. If you think doing music means you’re automatically a millionaire, then you’re in for a rude awakening. It takes dedication, ambition, being able to take constructive criticism, and most all of pure passion. If money is all you’re chasing then you’re in it for the wrong reason. We’ve learned not everyone has your best interest. Also be smart when going to studios. Once you get an amazing engineer you stick with him. This journey has taught us to be patient. Now that the world is opening back up our opportunities seem limitless. We’re still a local band, but we plan on becoming international one day. To the world here we come. We plan to travel all around performing and spreading love. Bridging the gap between love and hate.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Places to eat that are amazing are : The vortex ( burger place), Capital Grille ( Fancy), Trish’s kitchen ( Caribbean food), A&M kitchen (Breakfast) We are foodies though so we’re down to try any restaurant.
Scenery- Sweetwater creek, Tallulah Gorge, Belt line
