We had the good fortune of connecting with Allison Witzmann and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Allison, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
The animation industry is in shambles right now, and it seems hopeless to get a job that I have been working for in college. But I hold onto the hope that one day it will recover, and I will be able to create my dream series. I have to hold onto the hope that., like my favorite artists, you have to face rejection multiple times and all it takes is one yes.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I design series pitches for animation, as well as Create Backgrounds, props, and characters.

I write stories and develop them into potential series concepts for television.

On the side, I also am a Muralist and professional graphic designer.

I try to dabble in everything to keep the creative mind flowing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would love to take anyone through the beltline and walk down to Ponce city market. I love being able to take that walk-through Piedmont Park, and look at all the art and culture in the city of Atlanta.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
my best friend Ethan Wilcocks is the only reason I made it through college.
