Meet Alissa Christine | Permanent Makeup & Brow Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alissa Christine and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alissa, what do you attribute your success to?
Honestly, the heart of my success has always been connection. I don’t just see my clients as appointments—I see them as people I get to pour into. From the moment they walk into my studio, I want them to feel like they’re stepping into something special, something made just for them. Of course, I’m super intentional about perfecting my craft and delivering high-quality results, but what really sets me apart is the love and energy I put into every single service. I want my clients to leave not only looking amazing, but also feeling seen, celebrated, and maybe even a little nostalgic—like they just left their favorite place growing up. My goal is always to create a space where joy lives, where they can be fully themselves, and where beauty feels like a full-on experience, not just a result.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
At the core of everything I do is love. I’m proud to be artist not just because of my skill, but because of the intention behind it all. I create from a place of love, connection, and genuine care for the people who sit in my chair. I’m not just transforming faces—I’m pouring into people. My clients aren’t just clients to me. I get emotionally invested. I celebrate their wins, I listen to their stories, I hold space for them to just be. That’s what makes this more than just beauty work. It’s soul work.
I’ve always wanted my studio to feel like a safe, warm space where people leave feeling seen and beautiful in a way that goes beyond the surface. That’s what I’m most proud of—not just being good at what I do, but doing it with my whole heart.
And no, it hasn’t been easy. Honestly, the past couple years have been the hardest of my life. This journey has tested me in every way—mentally, emotionally, spiritually. I’m still in the thick of it, still pushing through, still trying to overcome the heavy stuff. But the thing that keeps me going is my love for this work and the people it brings into my life. That connection… that spark… it’s what reminds me that I have to keep going.
If there’s one thing I want the world to know about my story—it’s that I’m an artist who leads with heart. I don’t just create beauty. I create connection. I create safe spaces. And I’m still creating, even when it’s hard.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit, we’d keep it lowkey but fun. We’d hit up a concert at The Masquerade or check out a local show, do some karaoke, and probably end up dancing at Johnny’s Hideaway one night. I’d take her shopping around Little Five Points and grab drinks at JoJo’s Beloved. At some point, we’re definitely going to Fogo de Chão—mostly for the cheese bread, let’s be honest. And honestly, some of the best moments would be just hanging out in the backyard doing arts and crafts, listening to music, and catching up

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My sister, without a doubt. She has always been my biggest supporter—like, literally since day one. Whether it was a random talent show, a school concert, a competition, or now my beauty business, she’s never missed a moment. Even when it felt like no one else really cared about what I was doing, she showed up. Every. Single. Time. Her belief in me, even during seasons where I didn’t fully believe in myself, has meant everything. She’s the kind of person who cheers the loudest, hypes you up endlessly, and never lets you forget your worth. I honestly wouldn’t be where I am without her constant love and loyalty
