We had the good fortune of connecting with Ali Dhanani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ali, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from Vancouver, Canada and i feel like being from here, there are less producers from around here and less general opportunities so i feel like that moved me to work with people from places like south carolina and i think working with them developed my sound into what it is today.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
i think what sets me apart from others is that I try to be versatile instead of focusing on one specific sound. I try to do a little bit of everything and sometimes mix different genres. One thing i’ve learned along the way is not to trust everyone that u meet, especially in the music industry a lot of people try to act like they are on your side when they are not.
