We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexis Reviere and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexis, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Actually I didn’t have one. I was a very unhappy employee working at Wendy’s & one day I had enough, quit and never looked back! I was young with a young daughter with no plan. I didn’t jump straight into photography, honestly I never seen myself being a photographer in a million years. I didn’t have someone saying “Hey you can be whatever you want to be” So I was unaware of a lot of the things I could be honestly! I started off making shirts. purchased a camera silhouette 3, taught my self in a few hours and made a living for me and daughter. 2 years later, I purchased my first camera, Canon Rebel T7 again with no clue how it works or what it do, played with it for a few hours & got it! I thank God daily for keeping me and my daughter! People underestimate being a entrepreneur! Some days you make hundreds, while others you won’t see $1
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I edit from my cell phone! I love lightroom & photoshop, and in the last 2 months i’ve been studying both really hard to continue to learn more about each software and get better but the desk top version is so difficult for me! It was hard in the beginning!
Im most proud of growth! I have a longs way to go but there is always room to grow! Im just excited to become one of the many photographers I look up to!
Professionally? Me. I believe that I am the “how” By knowing to speak to others, knowing how to switch your voice & posture when needed! Organization, just simply investing in myself, branching off to

wasn’t easy at all, i lost friends, lost sleep, lost money
Coming up I was such a troubled child. Still today teachers from my old schools are extremely shocked to see how well I’m doing in life! When you have a label on you, it’s very hard to get it off! As a photographer my clients play a huge role in my success, without clients i have no business. So having to prove i am worthy of being something and someone, especially someone to trust with not only your money but trusting me to capture beautiful moments for you and your families was a challenge. Everyone knew the old me! The troubled me!
i learned that this is a business, there is no friends in the industry and i have to run my business accordingly if i would like to continue to be successful!
I will continue to work hard and perfect my craft! I will be everything I was told I couldn’t be! I will set a great example for my daughter and we will live the life I set out for us!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Thomaston, we travel for fun & food honestly. It isn’t much to do here!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Everyone actually. My beautiful daughter, my entire family for the love & support! My beautiful clients!!! Last but definitely not least my assistant Jazmine! She really keeps my head on straight, making sure Im okay and not completely overwhelmed! I appreciate and love each and every one y’all!
