We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexia Hunt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexia, how do you think about risk?
I have taken a lot of risks, especially when it comes to opening up to different communities and places across the U.S. and abroad. I have lived in Pennsylvania, Texas and now Georgia and I can honestly say that the differences in culture and landscape in general, are very, very diverse. I have taken risks in not only relocating but in my style of photography. I have made my shoots more personal, and it has always been my goal to create something that no one has yet, unique and one of a kind. When I sit back after editing and putting my creativity at full speed, it is endless and satisfying in what you are truly capable of. I am constantly searching for ways to tailor my work and my hobby into art.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a former CPS kid, I can first handily say that nothing has been easy, and nothing has been handed to me on a silver platter. What I can say though is that I have worked hard but success does not come without failures. I strive to be a beacon of light for those that feel like they are in the dark when it comes to paying for college, working 3 jobs and deciding when they should eat now or save that extra cash for eating tomorrow instead. Photography was my escape when it came to stress relief, it was a creative outlet and you should always find the time to do the things that you enjoy.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my friends to the Ponce City Market and the Atlantic Station, probably hit Marietta on the way out. As far as I have seen since I moved here, I cannot pick a single place that was not great to eat at yet!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my success to my husband, my family and friends, and my dogs (Beau, Belle, and Benji) who inspired me
